Isn't that so AMAZING!?
As a food culture we are so, so addicted to starchy carbs. I assume that that is the kind of carbs that were being talked about--all the food presented is of that type.

Of course not all carbohydrates cause this kind of addiction; it's starches and refined sugars that do that.

I'm so glad that I have cut those things out of my diet. I still screw up occasionally but man oh man do I know it when I do. I am glad to be educated and aware of how these things trash my health. I only have myself to blame when I reach for those unhealthy things that I am offered frequently.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

The women in Part 2 all said that they CRAVED carbs.... excessive carbs. The guest speaker said that was a big warning sign of carb addiction; if you CRAVE and NEED to have carbs within one hour of waking that was a BIG indicator that you were a carb addict.
Shakiness, queasiness, headache, fatigue, grumpiness were some of the symptoms reported by the women when they tried going without carbs for 48 hours.

I've been off line for a few days 'cuz of a VERY BAD virus that totally trashed my computer. I'm back now.

About the videos on "carb addictic": I got all the videos to work except #2 (I think thatwas the one - it's been a while so my brain isn't real clear). But I was thinking that there was something I was missing because the woman was telling Doc Oz that whatever it was she experienced changed her head around completely and that she was totally grossed out by what she either saw or felt or something. I was just wondering what it was that she experienced. Was it that she got terribly sick after going off carbs? Or did the Doc show her something? I'm just curious.

i had no problem with the videos. never tried cocaine, so, can't make an actual comparison, but, i do get carb addiciton. probably doesn't actually do the same thing though, or there would just be a line up at the bakery. probably much cheaper emoticon

I watched all the videos... all he did firstly, was to replace her simple carbs with complex carbs, and then she was only allowed to have 2 servings of those complex carbs per day.

Hmmm.. they are working great for me. I'm not signed up or logged in. There is a spot on the top that you can "sign in" using FB. Although, I haven't signed in anywhere...

This is interesting for sure but I can't seem to make the videos work. I got to see the one on the link but I can't get any of the other videos about Doctor Oz's work with Colleen. Do I have to become a member of the site or something? I want to see what the big thing was that he put her through that really made a difference for her.
