Yes, it is mildly sweet, not too bad. I liked the taste. I am using a rice protein powder right now because it was on sale a while back and I bought 2 or 3 (can't remember) www.iherb.com/Rainbow-Light-Protein-Energi
It tastes very good too. You may find, if you are used to any of the more common protein powders that it's maybe not as exciting in flavor as you might expect. that is probably because better protein powders don't have stuff and junk in them to enhance flavors. Also, this Rainbow-Light product has more calories probably because rice has a lot of calories.
Most of the better protein powders don't mix very easily so a blender or hand mixer is handy.
Also, I always have liquid stevia extract on hand and so I can add a drop or two to anything I want to make sweeter. It's easier than powdered stevia anyway and most likely less refined. I recommend having it around. Great if you want to sweeten your tea as well.
PS: Have a look at the reviews on the Source Naturals protein powder.
and, if you are vegan then you probably want the rice one...or something like it.

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
