I found it at my favorite health food store "New Seasons" (Portland, OR). But I've seen it at other stores; just didn't know what the heck it was!! Whoda thunk that inside that ugly covering lurked such a luscious treat? I'm hooked now!

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Where did you find it?
Grocery store?
Healthfood store?
I'm always looking for new things to try.

Well, I ate the whole thing by myself for dinner. It was so, so good. Very juicy, in flavor sort of a cross between a pear and a peach. The seeds are big though and you just have to spit them out as you eat...over the sink! Slurp! LOL

Wow never even seen one in the store. In the picture it almost looks like an artichoke. I will be on the look out now so I can give it a try. Thanks

I tried a Cherimoya fruit today

It was so good I bought one and brought it home.
