I haven't seen lady bugs in years. I was beginning to think they were "extinct". I am glad you all have seen some. Makes me feel better!

We get ladybugs occasionally but not as much as I would like. I love that they eat aphids.
We do get a small bug that Chuck and I call "Bob". It's a box elder bug that frequently finds its way onto our desks and casually walks across the computer screen. You can flick him off and in just a few minutes he's back walking across the screen. They usually show up one at a time so that's why he's "Bob". Quite harmless but one time we had an enormous infestation of Bobs outside on our porch. Don't know what was up with that. A few of them did make it into the house so we just called them Bob's cousins!
Bugs are cool...most of the time...except for spiders...I'm not too fond of spiders though I leave the orb builders alone in my garden 'cuz they work for me catching unwanted bugs. And their webs are so awesome.
Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it's a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they're terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

We seem to have ladybugs year round at my house. I at heard a couple years ago that they released them at a park near us to help with the population of something else but they still seem to be here. They seem to hang out in the upstairs bathroom. If it's nice out I grab them and release them outside. On days like today (we have 20 plus inches of snow on the ground and are getting up to 18" more) I just let them hang out with us. I figure I'm quite lucky if they bring me luck.
We went to the Washington coast in November. We still have ladybugs inside our motor home. We think they were out on the coast when we were there and have stayed with us. We are about 300 miles from where we camped. It is cold here, freezing almost every night. We like them, but put them outside when we see them. ????
