I love Lehmans. I've been using their catalog as a drool catcher for over 20 years. I have lived in several places in my life where I had to cook on a wood cook stove. I yearn for one again. It might be slow to get it going but once it's heated up the convenience factor goes way up. In the summer where it's hot you have to get a strong man (or a couple of strong men) to move it outside if you want to do a lot of cooking because it does heat a room up LOL!
I used to set the paper, kindling and wood just right in the thing before going to bed so that in the morning all I had to do was strike a match! I miss it.
Those glass butter churns with the crank on top and the wooden paddle inside are great.
Stop me now!!

Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
