I've discovered the Sahale Snacks brand nut mixes. Our favorite is the Soledad Almonds - I measure out 1/4 cup and it is a nice, spicy pick-me-up in the middle of the afternoon. My 11-year-old son loves them too.
Count me in on the baked apples too. They're such a nice warm treat in the winter. Another favorite is yogurt mixed with frozen berries, cheese slices, crackers or veggies with hummus, kale chips, and one cup of milk mixed with some cold coffee (leftover from the AM).
aaaah! snacks!!! I know them so well! handful of raw nuts; apple (or pear, banana, carrots/celery) with almond butter; baked apple with cinnamon; air-popped popcorn; persimmons; tropical fruit; cheese; kabocha squash or pumpkin w/cinnamon; pureed frozen banana/mango; dark chocolate & almonds; cottage cheese or greek yogurt w/fruit & nuts & cinnamon...
I'm still working on that weekly meal plan to give to you all. One of the things I've run into is if I have enough calories and want a treat post-dinner, what do you like to eat?
I've already thought of yogurt with some fruit; and of course know about the cookies on the teams' recipe book (though having cookies around can be a mite dangerous for me)... so was wondering if you all have some favorite treats (not just snacks) you could share with me?
