I use raw can sugar. Not sure if it clean but I think so. The only time I use it is in my oatmeal and that isn't every day.

Well. Health food store, or really good grocery store like the one I have here. I can get all of those things at my local grocer...

Agave nectar? Never heard of it and some of these other sweeteners. Would I find them in a health food store like whole foods? I do have stevia in the house. I'm supposed to stay away from funny sugar because of my history w/cancer.

I've just started using agave nectar, and love it. It's very sweet, so a little bit goes a long way.

Joyful hugs,

Connie

I have found for me that any sweetener is feast or famine and I don't do any at all. I have now gotten use to none....the flavors of everything is much sharper and I have been training myself to use a lot of vinegar which makes all the rest that I eat seem real sweet. emoticon

I have. It's delicious! I have agave, unsulphured molasses, sucanat and raw honey. They are all yummy! But, they are all still sweeteners with very little nutritional value... these ones are just unprocessed. I am trying to make it my own personal goal to eat less of ALL sweeteners. Stick to natural fruit for sweetness.

I still use a little Splenda in my oatmeal every morning, but that's pretty much the only time I use it these days. I've found that I'm just not sweetening things as much as I used to. I do use sucanet or agave nectar in clean eating recipes that call for them. I've found that I like the flavor of both much better than that of sugar or Splenda.

I have to admit, I sometimes have a little splenda to reduce my caloric intake. I'm GUILTY! But, I know that this may not be the healthiest option... here is an article that was in my INBOX, this morning. (You can subscribe to the realage website; they will send you all kinds of health tips everyday, ifyou don't already have enough email coming your way! LOL!)

I have tried stevia; I have a whole jar of it in my cupboard. I really don't like the taste of it. YUCK!
But, I will however try to use less splenda, and less of ANY sweeteners, natural ones included, from now on...
Also, I like the idea of rolling the banana in some milk and chopped nuts and freezing for a snack. Yummy!

What do you do for SWEET cravings? Are you 100% CLEAN? Are you trying your best to be 100% clean?
