Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul

Over-easy duck egg on top of avocado slices on top of gluten-free toast with fresh pressed veggie juice; a common breakfast for me.

Thanks for that reminder; think I'll gather some dandelions for my next smoothie/pudding...thing.

Toddler granddaughter over every Wednesday pretty much dictates the food around here. This post covers both breakfast and lunch; it was brunch, actually. GD has massive tooth problems (owie, owie, owie!!) and her mom says she has been refusing to eat. So we had smoothie/pudding that I made up on the spot to share... Avocado Banana Peach Duck egg yolks A little kefir (dairy, homemade) A few drops stevia extract.
GD ate a huge tummy full of that stuff. I ate a bunch too!

Over easy duck egg on top of avocado slices on top of buttered gluten-free toast. I'm hooked on this combo! Finished with a glass half kefir and half veggie juice. Weird and wonderful combo!

My usual work day breakfast. Two hard boiled eggs sliced onto two pieces of Udi's whole grain toast, and a bit of coconut oil on the toast. Simple, plain, suits my morning needs. Also green/herb tea blend sweetened with stevia.
One day at a time...

I tried a Larabar uber Bananas Foster bar and I had an apple. I decided to try the bar because I could recognize and pronounce every ingredient on the label. Tasted good so this might be a good choice for the days when I need a quick breakfast.
