Well, you can recover! I have to stay away from all you can eat - turns out it is way more than all I should eat!

Mmm. I've never had a spinach pizza - sounds yummy. I don't do mushrooms - they make me gag, but I'll have to look into spinach!

1/8 of a medium thin crust pineapple pizza from Domino's is 147 calories. www.dominos.com/home/menu/calometer.

So 1/2 the pizza is 588. It is a nice little splurge that doesn't do you in like some other pizzas with lots of crust and lots of cheese can do. Of course, toppings will get you if you aren't careful. But I was pleased that I could indulge w/o completely wrecking my week!

I found that you can pretty much eat half a medium thin crust domino's pizza (pineapple or green chili topping - although you can't get green chili most places outside of NM) and still be just fine - so when that pizza craving hits - think thin crust, low cheese!

losing weight in my body was only half my battle, the weight in my head and on my shoulders was far greater.

Summer could be the worst time to try to lose weight! With nice weather, we tend to make more plans for ourselves which involves less time for exercise. Then, the days you do plan to exercise, it is like 100 degrees out with 100% humidity. It isn't even SAFE to exercise in that kind of heat!

Don't beat yourself up! I started SP in June, and from June until August--had only lost 1.7lbs! Then, in August, I decided to do Sweat to Swim, changed up my workout routine and I lost 5lbs this past month! and yes, there were days when I didn't do anything or as much because I was tired or got busy and then didn't have the time! I was strict with myself, but did NOT beat myself up for not getting in all I wanted to!

Like other people said, don't fret over what was, you can't change it! Think about what will be... that is the only thing you can "control"!

Another thing that helped me... I finally let go over actually losing weight. That is to say, I CANNOT control how much weight I lose in a week, in a month. Even if I made sure to eat no more than 1200 cals a day and worked out for 30 minutes every day... one week, I could lose 2 lbs, another .5lbs. You can't control that! I finally let go...and I lost 5lbs! I decided to concentrate on the things I CAN control. Eating right and staying in my calories range. How much, when and what kind of workout I do.

You can do it... and I see your ticker moved from yesterday to today!!! Yay!

"Maybe you're tired and broken, you're tongue is twisted with words half spoken and thoughts unclear. What do you want me to do, to do for you, to see you through? A box of rain will ease the pain and love will see you through." ~Grateful Dead

That is where my problem is and i stay stuck in a five pound area. Sometimes it is hard to take time to exercise or even get on the computer but i am still trying to get it together. Good luck to everyone too.

Hi I AM NEW HERE BUT i AM GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING MY SELF, but Denise Austin gave a rule of thumb, live right 80% of the time, that gives you some leway for some treats. The worst thing you can do is deprive your self because that leads to cravings. I am finding sparks people is not about dieting which is deprivation but changing your life style to be more healthy

Don't be so hard on yourself, just concentrate on your goals. I had met my goal in May and kept it until mid July then I went on a trip, and of course things are hard when you are away from home or a kitchen where you can prepare your meals the way you do, gains some weight back then other things came up one after the other, I'm almost back to when I started, but I'm not going to give up I'm going to a wedding in October so I'm going to concentrate again, I know I can do it, and so are you, don't give up your have us all your friends to give support. Remember one step at a time

It's not easy to do this. It's changing everything about your life. The important thing to remember is that everyone has bad days and falls off the wagon. The people who make it happen are the ones who dust themselves off and jump back on. And that's what everyone is here for ... to pull you back up, help you dust yourself off, and throw you back on that wagon!

I believe that you probably are a good person.
I find it easier to stay on a good track than to GET on track.
The expression just do it works for me IF I get a little support .
I wrote a letter in my neighborhood newsletter advertising my need for a walking partner
Now I have 10 or more on any given day.
I was asking for help and they think I helped THEM!
There are a lot of us out there that need support to get started and teamwork to stay on track.
Don't count on your family to be that support unless they are willing.
It is not just you and you are not bad or deficient, you just need a push to get back.
I wish you partners in fitness!

Did 13MOTIVATED say 2 lbs a week. NOT!! I'm averaging that per month. It is slow go. Don't give up. I too have not accomplished all that I wanted to do this summer, but hey, tis life. There is always tomorrow. As long as you have breath and you have health, there is always tomorrow!.

God Bless you emoticon

stop kicking yourself remember if you slip, dont fall and if you fall dont wallow. start right back. fall is the time for change and we can start all over again. the weather will be cooler so get out and walk, or bike, or play ball etc. fall veggies are good for us, pumpkins, sweet potatoes and apples. you can do this girl.

There is nothing wrong w/you at all. People are human, sometimes we simply don't want to do things even if we know they are good for us. Don't look at what has passed over the summer or dwell on the things you had "wished" you had done. Today is a new day. Start right now. Do 20 sit-ups and 10 push-ups. Anything that will make you feel like you accomplished something. Then add a few min & other exercises each time you work out. You are only 15 lbs from your goal and at 2 lbs a week, you can be where you want to in less than 2 months! Keep looking foward & good luck! emoticon
