You can track your measurements every week or whatever you schedule under your start tab. It displays a graph detailing your measurements since you began measuring. I use this tool weekly but would be nice to have an Inches Tracker along with the Weight Loss Tracker.

I like that idea as well. I have not lost any weight lately, but my clothes fit better and others have noticed. I believe it would be motivating to know how many inches I have lost!!

Yes, that is a great idea. I haven't even considered inches before. Thanks

I love this idea! I think I would like it either way, but I especially like it because I've lost inches and GAINED weight! I wouldn't be motivated at all if I didn't know I was losing inches - I'd love to be able to track it.

I love this idea. I reached my goal 6 months ago. I now need to be able to track the loss of inches to motivate myself to exercise. Since we spend so much time tracking anyway, why not inches? It would also be a great motivator for those who have plateaued but have done everything right. We all need a little something to keep us going....

I think it's a great idea. I'm in the same boat right now, I've lost inches, but the weight is being very slow coming off. It would be great to have that option.

loving this idea. cause there those times where you lose inches faster than you do weight. and it'll be nice to have that on your sparkpage for motivation !

Thank you all so much for being supportive of this idea. It's nice to hear I'm not alone. I have heard from some of the Spark Team Leaders, and have been told they are working on new ticker tapes for various measurements, so hopefully we will see this in the near future!

I think that's a great idea, too. I am losing inches much faster than pounds. Even though the scale isn't moving much, I am definitely firming up and fitting better in my clothes!

Love the idea. Though I have lost a lot of lbs I have not lost much in inches. (I wonder if some of my weight lose has been in my thighs? Sorry side thought.)
I would love to include my inches lost so that I can see that even though I lost lbs I still have a lot more to go in the form of inches.

What a great idea! Just like pounds can be from the weight you started to your goal weight or the amount of pounds you've lost, something like that can be done for inches-say I want to lose 5 inches so it starts from 0-5 or starting inches to goal inches. It would be so motivating!

While I have to agree with 50SGRANNY about posting to the appropriate threads, I also have to agree this is a great idea. I'll pass it along to the Community Team. Hopefully, it will be added. Great idea - just next time, please post in the chat. Thanks!

What a great idea! I know that if you go to the "tech" message board you can propose this idea. There are SP employees who read that board regularly.

While I can't really say I think it was a very good idea to start yet ANOTHER new topic when it's been made abundantly clear that posts are to be made to the existing threads, rather than starting any new threads, I do think an "inches lost" option on the ticker is a very good idea. Especially since we keep hearing that relying on the scale (i.e. "pounds") is a bad idea.

That's a good idea... The ticker is tied to our SP weighin. Perhaps it can be extended to show our measurements as well as an option (I'm not sure everyone would like to show their measurements).

Five weeks into the program,, and I'm working my fanny off, literally!! My hips have decreased by 2.5 inches! My waistline is a svelte 1.5 inches smaller. My thighs don't hug my jeans as much, because they are one whole inch firmer. Yet my scale has only gone down a mere 3 pounds!! I do feel wonderful about my accomplishments. i know how hard I have worked to achieve these results. My clothes fit me much better, and I feel stronger, and have better endurance.. Yet, somehow, I feel cheated by not having that little ticker tape to show those glorious inches going down. The focus, I feel, is definitely on pounds lost ,only. I think it would be a nice addendum to Spark People, to have as an option, to add a ticker tape for inches lost, too. Does any one else feel the same way?
