I don't like to squeee it in at the end of the day
but I so what I need to do to get it done whenever I can
I make a plan around all the "other stuff" the night before

I get more out of the workout when I get going in the morning and feel great the rest of the day. When I workout after work I don't do as well at the work out and then feel stiff and sore in the morning.

I find that if I don't work out at Curves first thing in the morning I get sidetracked by my busy life. I get up, dress in workout stuff and take off...no computer, no friend's calls or family plans until I return.

anytime you can
block all the time for potential workouts
then add what you would like your workout schedule to be
tell all your loved ones about your new schedule so they don't step on toes inadvertently

I like working out in the mornings more usually. It can really get you extra energy for the day. However, I don't think it matters as much when you exercise as long as you exercise.

First thing in the morning - it wakes me up and gives me energy for the day. Then when I get home from work another half hour of cardio & bootcamp workouts. Works for me!

I try to work out first thing in the morning. I am a stay at home mom so that works out best for me while the kids watch cartoons. I also hear it's best to work out in the morning if you can cause it helps your metabolism for the rest of the day and then you have no excuses for the rest of the day not to. Good luck!!

i'm not really a morning person. considering i have to be at work @ 7 am and it takes me an hour to get to work - there is no way i'm getting up @ 3am to work out. lol i work out after work because its what fits into my schedule best, plus by that time my muscles are already warmed up & i have a lot more energy to commit to my work out =)

on the weekends or days off i like to try and hit the gym in the morning - before noon, but usually after breakfast.

I work nights 3 days a week, so a lot of times I work out when i get off work in the morning, i sleep pretty good the majority of the time. The days that I am off, I work out after I drop my daughter off at school. I think work out times depend on the person.

Ok so I did my boot camp video like around 12-12:30 am and i stayed up until almost 4 am !!! So today , as promised I worked out this morning & I never felt better !! I think I was pumped & energized for the day , it's more going on in the morning for me but it is worth it to fit in my work outs ! thanks team !! emoticon emoticon

My early mornings from 5 to 7 am is dedicated to prayer and Bible reading. Then depending on whether I am working that day or not (do not currently have a perm job, working for a temp agency), I will go for an 45 - 60 minute walk in the park near me. If I am working, I go after work.

After I walk, I will go the daily bootcamp workouts and do strength training twice a week, as I can fit it in. I have made a committment to do the bootcamp videos at least 5 days a week (today I did 2 days worth). I am determined to see some results here.!!

I am NOT a morning person. I just don't have the gumption to do it early in the morning. I know it is said it is better to do it in the morning, but I always do mine at night. It doesn't bother my sleep. So, with that being said, do it when you have the motivation. It is much better than not doing it at all!

WOW !! I love this team !!! thanks for the quick responses & advice. I took a little of everything you all said & came up with this. Lately I have been working out in the evening time anywhere from 5pm and so on , but then i really don't go to sleep & stay up until like after 3am ! My boyfriend asked me where my energy boost comes from & how I stay up so late , lol , but I think after listening to all of you, it's the late night work outs !! , so starting tomorrow I will be working out in the mornings before 12pm !! ANYTIME... I have a regular schedule
mornings every day, and evenings 3 nights a week
but I am also doing the bootcamp videos once a day
and I do pushups every night on my own

I try to get it in when I can because I know no one else can do it for me
the way I allow myself freedom is to know that if I have to miss a workout here or there I never go too long without the next workout

Hello all, I like working out with the Video's early in the morning. I get up at 5:30am. Since I don't drink coffee, I drink a glass of water, and I try and do about 3-5 video's. Then I go for a short jog. After work in the later part of the afternoon, if it is not raining, I bike ride for about 60 - 90 min. Lately it has been raining every late afternoon and evening. emoticon

Because of the hours I work, I break it up through the day. In the morning, I try to go to gym for strength training... it doesn't always work.
On my lunch break, I put in 15-30 minutes of exercise. Then after work, I finish. It's the only way I can get mine all in...

When I exercise in the morning, I get my heart rate up quickly. Unfortunately, I can't do that on days that I work. I work out after work, before dinner usually and I cannot get my heart rate up at all.

i feel best doing it in the morning. however when i worked it was best for me to go after work on my way home each day. try different times and see what works best for you. consistance is the key so you must find the time that works and then stick with it.

I absolutely love working out on the morning. I just feel like I have a much more productive day. I try to get up around 6 and start my workout by 6:15-6:30. That way I can shower and have the rest of the day to do whatever. I find it the worst when you put off the workout until the afternoon then you have to make time to shower and such.

I am not a morning person. I will not get out of bed to exercise or really anything else unless I'm forced.....I much prefer to work out in the evenings when I get home from work and before dinner. Since I use public transportation I do get in a nice walk most mornings either to the bus or just walking to work but I still workout in the evenings when I get home.

I do strength train gin the am hours. Cardio (walking) I do in the evening. That is because I love in SW Florida were the temps are already 90 and humidity makes it easier.
However other cardio, mowing, swimming I do anywhere from 10am to 2pm. I also do little spurts of movements through out the day I try for every 2 hrs for 5/10 mins.
That can be wall pushups, some type of housework, Jumping jacks, Shadow boxing.. stuff like that.

I am an early bird so I work out in the early morning (4:30 a.m) I have a tough time coming up with a good reason not to exercise when I am up that early. I can come up with lots of excuses when I come home from work though...laundry, housework, kids activities etc. Basically, the best time to work out is when it works for you. The important thing is to work out and stay consistent.

I prefer early - 6:00-7am - in the monring before my day gets started - my day goes better, I feel better and I don't have to concern myself w/am I going to get the exercise in midday or at the end of the day, which usually will not happen.

Well, considering I have to be at work at 5 AM, I work out after I get off work around 2 PM. That way I exercise a 2-3 hours after I've eaten lunch and then I eat after I exercise. That works for me.

I like working out in the morning. It positively affects my whole day - I have a better attitude, I eat heathier. It's also less likely that a workout will be missed if it's done first thing in the morning.

I prefer to workout in the late morning/early afternoon if I can. Is it better than another time? I don't know. It's just my preferance.

Hi Team , we are a pretty active group here and I just wanted to here your thoughts on when is the best time to work out ? In the morning ? Noon ? Evening ? or does it even matter at all ! I work out alot in the evening but I almost think the mornings are better , anywhoo what do you guy's think...please share your thoughts, thanks team !! emoticon emoticon
