I took my HM back because even though I put in my age, height, stride length, etc, It didn't calculate my calories, speed, miles, nothing right so I took it back today and got my money back. I'll do it the old-fashioned way...calculate my time, track my miles on google pedometer and use sp or another website to get my calories lol.

I agree about the HRM...I think I hurt my hubby's feelings cause I always wear my my $25
HRM instead of the $350 Citizen he gave me!

You're welcome!

I had mine about a month when I had to change the batt. Of course, the dust on the box was a clue that it had been there a while. That's probably all it needs.

Good luck!(An HRM is, without a doubt, the BEST purchase I have EVER made!)

IAMBLESSED, have you tried changing the batteries? Mine will read like that & I know it's time to change the batteries. You never know how long it's been sitting on the shelf.

What I am doing is this; I mark my readings BEFORE I workout and AFTER I work out to get the correct calories burned...but I continue to wear my HRM throughout the day to see how many other calories I burn during normal daily activities.

HONEY032086 - If the S7 is anything like the SX, I have to first push Mode button to get it to the place where it will read my HR, and then I use the reset button (only pressing, don't hold it or it just resets) to navigate through everything else like how many calories burned, how long I've been in my target heart rate zone, above, below, the stop watch, etc.

Try that and let me know if it helps!!!

I*AM*BLESSED- HRMs should only be used to calculate calories burned during cardio activity. So there could be a lot of reasons why your HRM read so high. Try wearing and using it only for your cardio workouts and see what kind of a reading you get. Just wearing it all day long is not going to be accurate.

I have the S7 also...so I can't help you.

I have a really strange question.....my S7 showed that I burned 9,999 calories yesterday (and by the way, it only counts to 9,999). I was extremely active yesterday so is that possible??? I find that hard to believe. If not, I need to take it back because it is defective and I've only had it a couple of weeks.

I have a Polar HRM and it counts calories while in heart rate mode. My HRM didn't come with very good instructions either but I did find more info available online at the Polar website.

If anyone has a Sportline S12 12-function ECG Heart Rate Watch from Walmart please answer this..I can't find it in the booklet.

When I'm exercising, how do I find out how many calories I'm burning based upon my heart rate? Should I stay in heart rate zone mode or pedometer mode?
