First of all, you have not failed the team or yourself. You already said you have lost weight and that counts for something. For now, you hit a bump in the road and have to slow down. There will be other boot camps, but for now you have to take care of yourself. Keep track of your food and work on getting healthy again. Don't get down on yourself. (I know, easier said then done.) Don't give up completely, do what you can for now and soon you'll be feeling better and raring to go. Good Luck.

I agree with some of the other posts. I think that continuing to track your food would be beneficial to your recovery. If nothing else, you may have a better idea as to what is triggering your symptoms.
May you soon be in good health. I was diagnosed with an H. pylori ulcer last November. I was so glad to get a diagnosis because I had all these symptoms (nausea, bloating, diarrhea, constipation) and was trying all these different diets (no gluten, no lactose, etc). It was tough to stay on a diet plan as my system couldn't handle a lot of fiber and protein. A little bit of simple carbs were about all I could handle. The antibiotics weren't too bad but I made sure to take my probiotics and eat a little yogurt everyday. I do take an acid reducer everyday; I was told it takes a long time to heal. My advice to you, for what it is worth, is to listen to your body and mind. If you need to rest, then rest. Gentle stretching and walking helped me. Take care of yourself. We are all pulling for you.

Good luck and feel better soon. I agree, it might be good to hang in here and let us help carry you along. It might help you to keep your focus and when you are ready to pickup where you left off you will feel like you never left. You have done a terrific job. Take care of yourself. Namaste'.

oh my gosh I have h.pylori as well I took the antibiotics with prilosec for 2 weeks but my doctor did not check to see if it was gone SO I still have it the antibiotics didn't work so I will be going to see my doc I also have gerd. H.pylori when not treated causes ulcers so make sure your doctor checks you after you finish your antibiotics to make sure your results are negative I know I feel horrible with it GOOD LUCK.

Both of the problems you're dealing with are digestive in nature so I think you should continue to track your food. This way you can also monitor what aggravates your condition. Either way, take care of yourself! Listen to your doctor or see a nutritionist about your diet!

It's possible that the doctor will recommend a diet that will help your goals anyway! I know when I had an ulcer I was told to eat several small meals to minimize the stomach acid, and when my neice has gall bladder issues she had to really restrict her fat intake. So hang in there, do what you can, and be good to yourself!

The most important thing is that you take care of yourself! Get your health in order, keep eating healthy, and exercise when you can. That is what is important now!

sorry to hear about your current status & hope you can stay positive and focused on taking care of yourself. I also agree with ALIDSTONE in that you have a large support group here for you at SP, so why not hang out here w/us when you can & just do the things that you're able to do. no pressure to do the daily workouts, just go at your body's ability.
prayers for a speedy remedy for you.

I agree with ALIDSTONE, Just do what you can, something is better then nothing. I would also continue tracking your food. If you stop now it will be harder to stay on track, trust me I know. i had to have my appendix out back in march and was on a 10 lb weight restriction for 2 weeks. I hardly worked out because I couldn't get do anything strenuous because it bothered me, so i stopped doing everything I hardly logged on to spark and in that 2 weeks I put on 6 lbs and now I am still smuggling to get it back off. Now that I look back I wish I would have done a little something instead of nothing. Good luck with whatever you decided.

you aren't letting anyone down! Nobody can predict unexpected medical problems, so there's no helping that. Just take things at your own pace and try to take care of yourself.

I hope you're still tuned in. I'm sorry about your diagnosis. Stay posiitive and stay healthy. Leave the team if you need to, however it doesn't seem necessary. It's something that we try to do and sometimes we nail it and other times we miss the mark. Feel free to stay with it and do what you can, when you can. The only person you'll let down when you leave is you. Why not stay on - let us help you and you help us? No worries if you need to do it your way though, it's just a thought.
