Since I have increased my exercise, I have found it hard to increase my calories without the carbs for fat. I can eat all day, salmon, chicken, broccoli, tuna, and still be WAY under 1500 calories.
A girl can only eat so much.

don't wait for tomorrow there is no better time to turn a bad day around than RIGHT NOW! it is not over until youor head hits the pillow wrap your head around your goals and forget about the past. I don't mean the big goals either , just what you can do for the rest of the day ! take each day as it comes one of our biggest issues as "ex-dieters" is the punishment mentality wfter a bad meal, day , week month. all the negative thinking in the world doesn't do a thing for our weight, body image , self esteem or our health!

I just came home from college on Saturday. Already I'm having troubles eating healthy. It seems every where I look, unhealthy food choices are staring back at me!
Things were so much easier when I had the food courts. I think I just need to go out and spend my money on a bunch of fruit.

You will have to try out different food plans until you find the best one for you. Definately eat breakfast, and lighter at dinner. You burn more calories by eating breakfast instead of skipping it. I think you need to keep a balance diet and watch your portions, that seems to my issues sometimes. Good Luck, Karen

Warm weather is here so I have been adding more salad vegies. I still eat everything just not as much and I noticed we have been eating a lot more fish lately.

I always did eat a good variety, just not in the right proportions! Now I'm increasing my fruits and veggies and decreasing my junk. Instead of 3 slices of pizza I'll have one. Instead of getting the family size bag of chips and sitting in front of the TV I have those little snack bags available. Instead of one or 2 pieces of fruit/veggies a day I bump it up as much as I can!

I'm eating healthier for sure, but i allow myself one "eat out" meal a week. Like Chili's or something. I still log the calories and i still pick a healthier choice. I have a bad sweet tooth so i bought some Skinny Cow ice cream treats and Dryers fruit bars - they satisfy my sweet tooth.
I eat a lot more fruit and veggies AND i'm trying new foods. :D

I really havwn't changed my diet at all. I just continue to try and stay within my ranges. I'm thinking that maybe I should up my calories with all of the exercise. I'm kind of on the fence with that one.
I am trying to make smart choices about my diet. Eating foods that have a good proportion of protein vs carbohydrates and that are low in fat like cottage cheese, certain soups, lean meat and veggies. I am also eating beans that are good in protein, carbohydrates, low in fat and also have great fiber.
Are dogs man's best friend or are we theirs?

I too have found I needed more calories to balance out the amount of exercise I do and I also like to fluctuate my calories. Some days on the high end and others lower but never going below 1500. I've been bouncing with a couple of pounds but think I have figured out maintenance though I decided to lower my goal weight once more and I'm struggling getting there. Ack!

I've been trying to eat more, its been so hard to up my calories, because I'm not losing weight like I would like. I think thats because I'm not eating enough, I seem to fall under in calories. Its so hard to get out of that mindset that I need to eat a little, but with all the cardio and exercise...I really do need more!

I don't really change my meals. I try to make a point to eat slower so that I get full faster, and I eat my veggies first so when I get full, I already had my full serving of veggies.

I'm actually struggling to get myself to eat more/enough because whenever I really track what I eat I get paranoid and tend to not eat enough because I always end up thinking it's better to be under than to have eaten too much. :/

I am staying on a healthy eating plan as best I can. I did change something that probably was not helping and that is eating homemade popcorn late at night to yogurt with fruit and some walnuts mixed in. Must be helping because when I weighed in I lost 8 lbs. Of course that is since the first of the month. Something is on the right track that's for sure. I also try to follow the menu that spark gives us and sometimes alter to my food liking.

I've been significantly hungrier this past week - I'm used to 3 days of cardio and 3 days of strength training a week. This 5 days of cardio thing has really started to bust my butt!
