Nothing is better than Justin Timberlake to work out to...Britney (although not a fan of her as a person), has great motivational music too! Especially Me Against the Music with Madonna!

Well, I graduated from high school in '81. Chicago and Kansas were great standards. But we also had Donna Summer and KC and the Sunshine Band! I don't listen to music too often. I'm not usually on the treadmill. If I walk outside, usually with the dog, I don't like to have earphones in because I like to hear traffic as well as other dogs. If I work out with a dvd there's usually music on the tape anyway. If I'm in the car I turn on a Christian radio station which will have anything from an "easy listening" style to hard rock. My husband and 16 year old son both have very eclectic mixes on their mp3 players!

I'm one of the old timers! lol! I was a product of the '80's. Yes, I'm dating my self! All my teen angst years during that era! I graduated in '88! So, yes, I have A LOT of hair bands, plus Metalica, but don't worry-I have newer stuff too-Hinder, Kid Rock, etc. I've got something like 60 gig on my MP3 player and it is half filled with everything from the Beatles to Korn, from Christian to some techno, to Jimmy Buffett. I think I suffer from music ADD-lol!

OK - you guys are going to laugh at this one, but I LOVE DISCO - the old 70's stuff! It's soooo fun! And I'm with the 2 folks also on AC/DC - I play that regularly. The Beatles are great for interval training because the songs are so short. I use Classical music occasionally for cool down - Chopin is great. To really rev me up, I listen to a German band (I think industrial??) called Rammstein - Du Hast is super for running. I have quite varied taste, don't ya think??

I'm 23, too. I also have very eclectic musical tastes. I'm a big 80s music fan and I like techno for workouts as well as classic/current rock (my mp3 player currently has a little of everything from AC/DC and Aerosmith to ZZ Top, Korn, Nickelback, etc.) or anything with a good beat, including "pop/hip hop" type music which I don't really listen to anywhere else, lol.

Anything 80's...some 90's. As long as it's upbeat.

LOL - i'm 23... almost 24.

I like all kinds of music, but most of those are of the techno or alternative genre's. They have a good beat, stuff that gets me excited and pumped! Well, except for Marley, I like to listen to him as I cool down :) he's pretty relaxing.

I use iTunes for my music, and since the creation of "Genius" I've really been able to expand my music to find stuff I never would have before!

If you're not familiar with iTunes, "Genius" is a new tool in the program. You select a song and open the "Genius" toolbar, and then iTunes will suggest songs from either your music library (to make a playlist) or, if you're looking for new music, iTunes can suggest songs from the iTunes Store that you might also like, all based on a single song!!

I *LOVE* the "Genius" feature. :)

I, too have never heard of the songs or the artists other than Marley. In addition to how old are you, I wonder where you are.

I loved that yesterday's bonus challenge was to work out with music! I love music! The right music can sure pump up my workout!

Today i was feeling kind of tired at lunch time, but i have my ipod with me so i thought, hey i'll plug in some tunes and pump up my LUNCH hour, so i don't have an afternoon "low".... WOW DID IT EVER WORK!!

So in the spirit of working out with music & pumping up life (and because i *LOVE* music & have 5k + songs in my iTunes library...) below are 12 random songs from my iPod! Look them up if you'd like, or add your own to this thread! (they are in format: SONG / ARTIST)

1. Push / Sinichi Osawa
2. Lola's Theme (extended vocal mix) / Shape UK
3. Dibiza 2007 (Norm's Bring the Drums Dub) / Danny Tenaglia
4. Marigold / Sugarplum Fairy
5. Girls in the Back / White Rose Movement
6. Bullets & Guns / Them Terribles
7. Jamming / Bob Marley - i like this one for a cool down :)
8. Heartbreaker (Discodeine Remix) / Metronomy
9. Pile of Gold / The Blow
10. Feedback / Janet
11. Don't You Evah (Doc Delay Fixerupper) / Spoon
12. I Miss Those Days (Ghost) / Mixi
