ok guys, are you ready to continue the challenge into June?
I sure am. I am back home and getting ready to do my 2nd day challenge. I am going to do the Sunday workout as well as the Monday to get back on track. Do the cardio kickboxing workout from yesterday.
I enjoyed doing something even if I couldn't follow the challenge perfectly. I tried to walk this last week being away from home. Normally I would count cutting my grass as a cardio. That racked up a lot of points. So last week I was short on my cardio time. But still tried to do what I could with my resistance bands and walking.

So let me know what you think. You want to continue?
Or interested in doing other activities? I know they have a mess of videos to do. I am going to check them out.

Hello guys,
Been a struggle with my back pains. But, I am working through it. I may be cheating on my workout so that I don't put a lot of stress on my lower back. I have tried to exercise my stomach muscles on some of these. I have had to drive to Illinois and Wisconsin for family problems and take my exercise bands and computer to keep in touch.

I have been at least doing walking down the street and back for my cardio and doing the daily exercises for strength.

Is is perfect workout? no, but at least it is better then nothing which is what I was doing... nothing

So that is exactly what I want to accomplish in this challenge... to get into a routine, any routine.

maybe we can get all the guys to come and join this challenge and this forum and we would know. I am a member of other groups, I'll spread the word to them and see if we can get more guys to join.

Yesterday I cut the grass and my back was hurting a little, but, when I started to weed the garden it hurt a lot. So, I didn't do the challenge yesterday.
I will try to do it today as much as I can. I love this challenge. I like the guys here in this group and the encouragement. Personally, I would like us all to band together as band of brothers. Even after this challenge is over, we can keep each others emails and stay in contact.

Nope, I haven't received an answer yet. But like you, I'd sure like to see the stats on it, as I think it would be very interesting to know.

Get any answer for that one?

Since this isn't asking for huge invasion of privacy or the like I wonder where we could ask to get some data. I do know that it "appears" that fewer men use the Spark site overall, but I have no clue what the ratio really is.

This micro group of actively oriented users might help give a good sample. Now who do we have to pester with that one? Not sure if just throwing this askance here is enough to garner a reply or not.

Maybe in general chat forum. I'll give this one a day or two before I ask there I think.

Hi from northern Wisconsin! I got started late but have done every workout since Wednesday. It's nice to see a few other guys here!

Rather than hope to fit into a swimsuit, I am striving to get in better shape for my church's softball league which starts in a few weeks. With some new upper body strength, I hope to be able to hit the ball better this year.

so far I have done all the days workouts. Today Been busy doing other things and its getting late, and I really can find all kinds of excuses not to do today's workout. I am going to at least try to get started, may not finish, but I want to build consistency in doing a workout everday. That's what I wanted to accomplish through all this challenge anyway, to get motivated even if its just 5 minutes a day, its better then nothing.

JB, I'm sure that C25K will be great for you. I did the program about 1.5 years ago when I had never run in my life, and at first I was tired after the first five minutes, but it was really gratifying to finish and helped me to get into running as a habit. Good luck combining that with the videos here!

Yeah, I am really enjoying the workouts they are quick yet really get me sweating. I have combined the booty camp workouts with my C25K. I will have completed week one of both. It is really exciting to get in a program with others that feel so strongly.

Computer problems...

My home computer has died, it is in the process of being rebuilt. I have watched all of the Boot camp videos and written down the excersises so that I can do them. at home.

I had to log tomorrows workout in advance, but I will do it.

Hope everyone is having a better day than me.

I'm here too! I'd be interested in seeing actual demographics on how many guys we do have here in this group.

Loving the workouts doing them after my standard daily plan, then getting them in just before showering and leaving for work. Good stuff, loved today's especially.

hey guys,
checking in today. I have done from beginning all the workouts, and a few other things. Yesterday I added a 30 minute workout on stationary bike. Today I had to cut the grass so I added the time to my cardio workout. Amazing how many calories I burn doing things around the house that I haven't added to my work out program. Some 600 calories burned wow.
I know that not all my exercises are up to the video level she has be showing, but, hey, I more active then I was 4-5 days ago. So that's progress isn't it!
:)
I don't know about you but I am enjoying this. I would recommend not working out hours before going to be though... last night had a time trying to go to sleep.

I know that I am feeling better about myself, my body, and mind all benefit.

Hang in there guys and write something I want to know how you all are doing. Important thing, don't give up, keep coming back :)

Good Morning Guys!

2 Days down 26 to go :)
Hope everyone is doing well.
I don;t have resistance bands so yesterdays work out was interesting. I wrapped a dumbbell in a towel and then tied it around my ankle. Heh...it worked and my legs hurt today so I guess it's good enough.
Anyone have to modify their work outs due to lack of equipment? I'd be interested in knowing what you used.

Bill

One down - twenty-nine more to go!!! So I didn't actually get to do the day one work out as I spent the majority of the day traveling back from DC to Florida. I did grab my dog when I got home and run for 40 minutes (close to 4 miles). I also executed 150 sit-up/crunch combinations.

So today, when I got to work, I made a spur of the moment decision to take the stairs all day (I work on the third floor of my building) in addition to completing the day two work out and my daddy-doggie run when I get home this afternoon . . . . .

Happy Day One, all! I have not yet done the video workout for today, but I went to the gym first thing this morning. I did 45 minutes on the stationary bike, for a total of 16.2 miles!! Then I came home and did the Spark strength training workout that was recommended for me today.

Hope you're all getting a great start too! Off to shower and then take a walk to get a cup of iced coffee as a treat to reward a great start to the week and month!

Hi everyone and good luck. I've been making good progress on weight loss by just cutting and tracking calories, but I tend to avoid exercise if I can help it. So I hope doing the daily videos will kick a workout regimen into gear. -- Dan

Another guy here ready to get going on this. I'm going to look at this bootcamp as something nice to do on top of all the exercise I'm already doing--I've recently hit a plateau, so I'm hoping just adding the little bits and pieces with the videos will help me switch things up!
