I came back because the pounds has started to creep up on me, so I only had a few to lose. I did that, but more importantly I have been working very hard to improve my nutrition and exercise. I feel like I have made such great strides in the 3+ months I've been here. There is still a great deal of work to do - I'm an emotional eater and turn to food for comfort - but I feel good about how far I've come. Since April I've been inspired to cook way, way more than ever before, and I've exercised much more regularly too. Feels good, overall, even though there have been some bumps in the road.
Hit my goal weight 9/16/11 and aim to remain there for good!

Hi! Still here but I was embarassed to come back after gaining 7 lbs. on vacation. But I worked hard and got it back off again. Whew! Really got scared. I have to remember that little extra each night is too much. I feel good again. Now I really see this is not a diet but a lifetime change. Can't wait to live the rest of my life healthier!

I'm down 37 pounds since starting on SP 3 months ago. The last two weeks have been pretty hectic... I lost my job, got a new one, and have moved. Since I haven't been able to make it to the gym, I've just been very careful with my eating (and still losing)!
It's becoming a habit now, a lifestyle. No more diets!!

The inital 3 months with SP has taken away 33 pounds and 12 1/2 inches. I have a long way to go but this time it's not a punishment it is a joy. My children are old enough to be supportive and understand why I am doing the things I am and it's great.
I love the trackers on here because I keep myself in check that way. There are special occasion days where I don't overdo it but I don't track either.
Reading all these posts are such an inspiration because together we can do this.

so now that I'm at the three month mark I'm so proud of myself. its so easy to start a weight loss program but it is just as easy to give up on it. so to still be losing and tracking and being active after 90 days I'm super excited. i have had a few set backs mainly around social events where great food is everywhere but i have learned that just because i have a few slip ups that does not mean that i have not worked hard before or that i will not continue to work hard. here is a good luck to everyone for the next three months. keep sparking and becoming healthy.

It's been great so far! I have lost over 40 lb and over 4 inches from my waist. I have gone from wearing a size 24 or 26, to wearing a size 18. I am up to doing over 4 miles either walking outside or on the treadmill 5 days a week.

Congrats to everyone so far!! Sounds like people are doing great.
My motivation has remained pretty consistent, though I'm still frustrated by my slow pace (I think this month I've lost a total of two pounds). Having said that, I think I've finally hit the balance of a lifestyle I can keep up, and I've stopped freaking out or feeling bad if I hit 1800 or 1900 calories - I'm working out and eating healthy food and generally feel better! Also, even though the weight is coming off slowly and the inches appear to be coming off even more slowly, I've definitely dropped at least a full size (from somewhere between a 12 and a 14 to somewhere between a 10 and a 12 - I can fit into my size 10 jeans, nice and stretched out as they are!) and I can run 2 and a half miles, which I haven't been able to do since college.
On feeling awkward at the gym - I used to, but I don't anymore - I think in part it takes getting used to, and in part it depends on where you go. I felt a little awkward when I started going to my college gym way back in the day, but I had a set time everyday and got to recognize or become gym buddies with everyone who consistently came at the same time (which isn't to say I like talking to people when I work out - that's actually a huge pet peeve of mine). Now I have the same experience at the Y - I have a set time, and I at least recognize most of the people that are there so I don't feel awkward. Having said that, some place like Gold's or Bally would terrify me, and I think it would take a lot longer for that awkward feeling to go away at those places.

I am still on SparkPeople daily logging what I eat and how much I exercise. Yes - I am keeping up my exercising. I feel good - but to me the weight is coming off slow. I love how I can keep track of all of this - it makes me more aware. I have lost inches too and that is nice but not a full size yet. I am still motivated though to keep going.
congrats to everyone for the good work...

Happy 3 month anniversary everyone! .
I am still faithfully tracking all of my food and exercise (except on vacations). It's really been helpful for me to get an understanding of what I eat and has changed a lot of my eating habits. The weight is coming off *very* slow for me (5 pounds in 3 months) but I can fit back into some of my clothes that I was outgrowing again, and I am proud that I usually make it to the gym 4-5 times a week (up from ZERO prior to April!) I feel healthier and have found a new love of Yoga. So overall, despite the slow weight loss, I know I am getting stronger and healthier and if it takes me another 3 months to take off another 5 pounds, then so be it!

I can not believe it has been three months!!! I know I can stick with this now:) I am still on this site as much as possible every day and I have about 43 friends:) The scale isn't going down as fast as I would like, but I joined the gym at my job the first week of June and I workout there 5 days a week. I started this journey in January, but joined SP in April and have gone from a 16 to a 12 in that time and now my 12's are loose and I am between a 12 and a 10. I am getting toned too, I have NEVER had muscle tone so this is exciting for me. I weigh every week, but I go sometimes three or four weeks before I drop a pound. It can be discouraging but I talk about with my hubby and he reminds me about the muscle I am getting and great my legs and butt are looking. Since joining SP I have started weights and medicine ball exercises and tons of cardio, I have sooooo much energy and I am no longer feeling really tired in the afternoon fighting staying awake at my desk. I drink LOTS of water too, thanks to SP and my skin is soft and smooth and clear, no acne:) I am so thankful for this website and the friendships I have made here, I will keeping on Sparking for sure:) Congrats to all of you as well:)
WE CAN DO THIS!!!

I have totally lost my motivation to be on the site and tracking everything. I'm still working on eating better and working out, but I've stopped keeping track of it all. I haven't been posting to the boards, but I'm still watching my emails. I'm not losing weight at the rate I was (1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds a week), but I'm still losing it gradually, so I think I'm headed in the right direction. The jeans I bought when I first started Sparking were so tight I had to suck it in to button them and I thought the seams were gonna rip in the thighs because they were so snug. I'm wearing them today and I practically need a belt and the thighs fit perfectly! I dunno if you want to call that successful or not, but there ya go....
I wish I could blame the change on a vacation or just backsliding, but it's pretty much laziness. It was so much work obsessing over everything I ate and tracking down the nutritional content of everything I came into contact with. I felt like it was eating up all my time. I was getting bored going to the gym because I was constantly searching for whatever exercise would burn enough calories and not stepping back to look at what I *enjoyed* doing as part of my workout.
I decided to change it up and not have an exercise "routine" because that seems to be what makes me bored. Instead, when I go to the gym, I look at what equipment is open and decide what I'll do from there. Some days I may only work out 30 minutes if it's really busy (Am I the only woman who feels very uncomfortable and on display when the gym is full of guys? And why do they feel the need to stare?) or I may be there 2-2 1/2 hours if it's quiet. I have definitely noticed, though, that the guys at the gym leave me alone when I get out my training gloves and start hitting the heavy bag.

Congratulations everyone! I'm still working at it, too! Things for me these last couple of months got really, really busy - we bought a house and just moved in, I'm planning my wedding in October, work has been crazy with this economy, and we go to NY for my fiance's family reunion next week - all of which have prevented me from being online much. But I'm still following the plan. I've lost nearly 20lbs and want to lose 10 more by the end of August!

I am still Sparking! I feel great - lots of energy. I've been walking a lot. I have just been joined by my second sister so there is a lot of walking AND talking! I'ts lots of fun. I don't weigh myself very often (I think it's discouraging) but all of my clothes, including recent purchases at a smaller size are very roomy. My body is definitely changing and the best part is people are taking notice and asking me what I'm doing to lose the weight. Good luck to all of my fellow classmates and congratulations and Happy Three Months to All.

I have been home from vacation since Sunday night. I scared myself by weighing at 9 p.m. As of this morning, I am "only" up 3 pounds. I have to remember that ONLY means ONLY. I can take it back off and keep going down the scale.
We took some pictures that were a reality check. I look better than a year ago, but I have a ways to go.
I am so proud of the team members who are still working on a healthy lifestyle.
