Family movie tickets are a good gift and a nice way for a family to spend a day together.

What about looking for gifts at craft shows. You can get some beautiful and inexpensive gifts. Plus since it's not store bought no one knows how much you paid for it. I make most of the gifts I give out. And I only do our parents, one very special aunt and the kids. You don't have to feel the need to buy for everyone. I do love giving out baked goods. My kids all want their favorite cookies every year for gifts now lol

Some items I pick up for Christmas are sale items. From July- aug are big sales. Books are cheap, toys and clothing. I love to bake too! But wonder if I buy the baking items in November, the prices are already marked up on baking goods. I can't figure out how to get around these mark up times? Last year we gave wine to the family for a gift. Simple and not too overly priced. Does anyone send photo cards? Looking for a cheap way to do some! I often like to give them when we see people as mailing is expensive too! .50 / mail? I told my dh this yr that less is more. We don't need 5 gifts each fr your mom. I suggested asking people to donate to a charity? He was like what... Told me his family wouldn't go for that. I just want to help someone in need. Thinking of some small gifts and cheap... I have been on reduced income due to my injury. Hoping to get back to wrk as soon as I am healed. Just had my surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago. Well now I am thinking about Christmas! Hmmmm

I've bought two gifts so far. Has anyone else started Christmas shopping. If so how are you making out. I have lots of wrapping paper. I always get that after Christmas for half price.

A day at a time and I will reach my goal. I am not perfect but I will forgive myself for the mistakes I make. Life is full of choices and sometimes we don't always make the best ones but that's what makes us human.

I also bake. I also try to do the gift of time. I bring my Grandma to the orchestra or the theater. I do "girl dates" with my friends- one on one days together- dinner and a movie or lunch and a pedicure, that kind of thing.

I love to bake. I usually do it when we shutdown for inventory in November.

Hi everyone. Do you realize that Christmas is only a few months away? Where did the summer go? Any ideas how to make this Christmas very Merry and stress free?
I bought a food hamper from Santa's choice and made small bi-weekly to help with the grocery bill. Now that it's September I'm going to start picking up a few gifts every pay. I love Christmas but I don't like the stress that comes with it. Let's try to come up with some ideas to help take the stress out of this Christmas.
