chips, although now I weigh them with my food scale and that seems to help.

For me, maybe it is peanut butter and ice cream.
I do not spend a lot on them, but when they are foods that I may want to overeat.

Restaurant food especially pizza. I cannot just say one slice. My son thinks I am a bad parent since I don't have soft drinks or junk food in the house.

Restaurant food. I don't go often but when I do, I figure, I am paying a lot anyway why not get what I want.
Ice cream. I hardly ever have it, because if I do, I can't stop eating it!
I do better when I treat myself, once in a blue moon with a soft serve, on the road.

my vice are chips and salsa... put them in front of me and it is over! although, the act of going out to eat is what is busting my budget, the chips are the free part of the meal.

For me, I have to stay away from diet coke, I can't just drink one, I'll go through a couple litres in a couple hours and I have found that when I drink diet coke it triggers a "hunger" in me and I end up eating way too much.
Also potato chips...can't stop once I start!
So something I have started is telling myself "do you really want that? It means 15 more minutes on the treadmill." So far my answer has always been "NO!"

Name the foods you have typically bought that sabotage your weight loss, and also bust the budget.
For me, it's candy and sodas. They're getting pretty pricey. Anyone else??
