I like the shopping list challenge as well. But instead of competing with others - we compete with ourselves and post our savings? We can still have teams and see who can creatively use cheaper (like seasonal) items, make their own from scratch or replace a pricey item with something else.
For example - I love Morningstar Farms Pizza Veggie Burgers but they are $3.79 for a box of 4 at Trader Joe's. I'm experimenting with making my own for far, far less. Ditto on whole grain bread products like pita or pizza crust.
Perhaps we could state a favorite item, the price, and indicate what the substitute cost (and post a recipe if you make it yourself). Or indicate that you replaced out-of-season strawberries with an in-season fruit such as a tangelo and the cost savings.
I would also like to be part of an ongoing cardio and/or strenght training challenge - esp if it involved creative ideas for exercises done with minimal expense that is FUN!

I actually like the idea of the shopping list challenge...although, I'd never "win" with the outrageous food prices in my area, LOL. I'd just love to see a list of what common items actually cost in different areas of the country as compared to where I live (in CT)
How about we each list a few items (in our area) that is ridiculously priced?

we could eat a rainbow or have a sale recipe challange(take an item on sale in your area, post what it is and cost and then post a recipe what we will cook with it.(it might be interesting to see what things are on sale and tha price of things in differant areas.).could do a water challange. a shopping list challange.(you post a basic shopping list and we have to fill out the cost of it in our area to see wgo can shop everything for the cheapest.GOYB challange where the first to post challanges the next to do something.they post when they have done it and then post the next challangefor the next person.
I am really enjoying our cardio challenge. I think I would like to continue it another week. However, I am wondering what our next challenge should be and what challenges others would be interested in doing.
