I followed the 1st pass of my challenge circuit-TRY I designed for walking my dog. She definitely wasn't in the mood to move fast. It was very warm and humid. We made it around once, I got is all of the stations, and then a clap of thunder chased us in just in time to miss the next shower. I hope to do both rounds this evening after sundown. I might need to do the second round without the Yorkie along on the intensive rounds. We'll see.

I know I set up this thread for fitness, but I'm not feeling very fit this morning and it has nothing to do with my fitness plan or sore muscles from yesterday's Tabata class.
I hurt a finger pruning blackberry growth yesterday. I decided I'd better soak it in peroxide last night. I was exhausted and set the glass down on the bedside table and went to sleep. When I was rushing to get to the gym for the 9:00 class, I needed to take a pill and took a swig of the peroxide and downed it before I realized it wasn't water.
I couldn't find the bottle, because I had poured it in the kitchen and left it. i finally located it and there were no directions of what to do if swallowed except call a Medical Control Officer. I called 911 and they gave me the poison control number. Those people assured me I was going to live, because by then panic had set in since I'm up here alone on a mountain in NC. I won't bore you with what they said to do, and what I was to expect. I will say I no longer felt able to go to the aqua dance class this morning. Not sure If I'll be up to anything.
So, I'm not leaving anything that could go in my mouth on the bedside table anymore. No water, no pills, and especially no peroxide in an open container!! I'm getting too forgetful.

Since my mom has been doing some of the things we learned here on SP, she has been taken off metformin. And just takes a different med which is like glyburide. Don't remember why that was switched, maybe her cough?? Doesn't matter. She only needs the one med, and not every day. I think If I get her to walk with me in the evenings that will be gone, too. I think she's slightly afraid to walk. And I can give up one workout walk to make that happen.

I did a tabata class at 8:30 this morning, then 30 min. of treading water. I'm done in. No fitness for lunch today. Is a nap considered fitness? I understand Iose a considerable amount of carbon while sleeping. And I bet I have a lot of carbon burn to breathe out after my morning class!!

Sunday: the Wellness center opens at 1:00 on Sunday, so I drove in to town and walked by the river for 20 minutes when it started to thunder. They closed the pool and I switched plans indoors to the treadmill. After a total hour of walking, I checked on the pool. They were just opening it, and all the kids had gone home. I had it to myself. So I put in another hour and came home very tired.
Luckily dinner only needed me to roast an acorn squash and pull leftovers in as sides.

After lunch yesterday, I went to the folk school in Brasstown, and followed their mowed path down the field through the field, down to the river, followed it a ways and hiked back up the hill, coming out at the demonstration gardens, then up through the woods and back to the car.
Today, i don't think I'll do fitness activity around lunch. I went to the gym this morning and walked 45 minutes along the river, and then worked out in the pool for an hour.
My body is telling me it's tired. Today will be an after lunch nap.
