I have to do better with meals. Today was pretty bad. But I was really tired. And I didn't watch what I ate. I just ate. And tonight I want to make a healthy dinner for myself and do some strength training exercises and get myself back on track. I just think I got overwhelmed by some stuff at home and was a bit exhausted and that emotional eating stuff kicked in.

Taffy - don't feel bad just watch your food intake. you don't have to deprive yourself of anything just reduce portions. but of couse eat healhy. how about more veggies? my meals consist mostly of veggies, tofu and of course I do not eat white bread of any kind. you can do it. go slow and you won't go back. we are all routing for you. welcome aboard.
You are SO right! I'm impressed with your planning! I definitely should have planned better for the camping trip. Actually, our food wasn't terribly unhealthy, it was the portion sizes. And I fell back a little on the H2O...

My cheat day is Friday, well Friday evening to be specific. I try to be good all week so that I don't have to feel guilty about not counting the calories in my dinner on Friday night and enjoying a glass of wine as we unwind from the week past and relax into the coming weekend. What I have to make sure of is that it is ONLY Friday night and that I don't relax on the weekend. I try to keep things simple and light so that I can stick to my goals. being hungry is ok- you'll start feeling better after a few days of being "good". Don't go too low on the calories- just keep it in your range, on the low side. And watch the sodium- I've found that makes me sluggish and pushes my appetite...Good Luck
I joined yesterday. Cried so hard after weighing myself in after not weighing myself for a month,so I did not exceed calories today.. although my diet food choices were not so good today. I ate 1 burger.Chips. I ate salad rather than all the added on stuff...and drank water rather than beer or lemonade. I am hungry but this is a start.
Happy 4th of July. This will be the first that I will not have BBQ ribs by the slab. I don't want to work hard enough to need that much energy. Hopwfully you will join some one celebrating the 4th, unless you don't live in the USA
been reading all the posts. some are good and some are naughty. hope we all will watch what we eat over the July 4th weekend. guess I have it easy, I live alone, no relatives and friends go their merry way. I have been having Amy's Veggie burgers (organic) one with rice and all and the other whole grains. 94 calories and I have it on 1 slice of whole wheat toast. lunch is not a big meal for me. make up for it by drinking lots of green tea. LOVE MY TEA - right now I am drinking White Peony tea. DELISH
