I've been taking lunchtime walks and evening indoor water aerobics, cardio classes and strength training classes. They are working. I can feel the difference in my clothes, and energy levels.

Hi all!
I've noticed a real cold sensitivity this year vs past years so I've been doing gym workouts and what not. I just bought a mini trampoline though and that is what I've been doing at home. I also usually enjoy shoveling snow but this year hasn't been that snowy for that :)

Walked out in the cold this morning, was about 28 out there did my 2 miles in about 40 minutes it was nice out there.
Thursday 2/7/2013 is the day for my weekly weigh in , 195 up 1 lb from last week , It is also time to take the monthly measurements, Waist 41" down 2" , hips, thighs, stayed the same but saw a 1' increase in the arms, that means there is an increase in muscle mass, which I am told weighs more than fat, so the 1 lb pound increase in weight is ok. NO DISCOURAGEMENT HERE.

Had to go to VA clinic for exercise today so that meant I had to stay in , would have been a nice day to walk outside, much better than the bike at VA

I have 2 DVDs that I like. There is one by Leslie ___ for walking and the 12 minute low impact aerobics program located on this site in the videos. These programs give me five days of 30 minute exercise.

LOL, no you are not getting anywhere---but maybe you should set a place in mind and put a map near your bike---and move a pin along to see where you are on your journey. Even put up pictures of that place to look at.

I made it the temp was 38 so I was able to get out and walk 2.25 miles in 45 minutes, as long the temp gets above 32 I am got o go out for my exercise. If it's below 32 its stay inside and the stationary bike for about 45 minutes Boring and I don't ever seam to get anywhere.

If it is above 40, once you get going it is not too bad---unless there is wind----why in the world places fight wind power is beyond me---as much wind as we have here, it would just make sense to use it for our benefit.

I ran 8 1/2 miles on Wednesday and 7 1/2 today. Cold? Phsaw, I laugh in your general direction. I dress in layers.

I have also been know to go to the YMCA and work out and swim.

I go to the mall to walk and if not too bad, I still walk in the park when I can----a little nip in the air makes you move faster. And I do water aerobics at a physical therapy place where the pool is heated.

There are a lot of free exercise programs on youtube as well as all the stuff on SP. I usually go to the gym and use their equipment or I use my in house tread mill

How does everyone choose to exercise when it's so cold outside?
