I have the Omron HJ 112 and I love it!! It not only calculates steps but distance and calories (minus a factor for my age!). It was less than $30 but I have definitely gotten my money's worth!

For anyone who is thinking about buying a pedometer, here is a link to a good one at Walmart. In the stores, they are located in the Health Aids by the diabetic supplies. (Have no idea why...?) Anyway, this one is $24.95 but there are other models for less. Hint, I bought the cheaper one and ended up returning it bc it just didn't work properly. It may have been that one I don't know. But I bought this one (it was $19.99 in the store) and it works great. Ormron makes a good one if you find one elsewhere.

Anyone ready for a challenge to get ourselves ready for the holidays? Time to dust off the pedometers and go for 10,000 steps a day!

Check in as you can and post your steps. You can do a week's worth at a time or post daily. Whatever you like. If you use a treadmill, your challenge is 1.5 miles a day.

Let's get our fannies in gear and head that cranberry sauce off at the pass. Challenge begins on Monday Oct 1st. You can do this!!
