How is everyone doing? Finally we get a day here in Minnesota that is not raining. I have never seen it rain so much since I have lived here in 25 years.
I am working through the divorce and with my brother at the ICU a lot combined with work and school, so most of my days are flying by. I am trying my best not to let the stress talk me into giving up on what I want to do which is get rid of this darn weight.
A few tips that have helped me to keep on track is the S.T.O.P thinking process. ( S= Should I be eating, T= tell me what you are really feeling, 0= offer myself alternatives, P= pay attention to the difference between hunger and emotions.)
I also have pasted a picture of myself in my office where I am at a lot to remind myself why I am dieting. Since I became overweight I know that I tend to avoid mirrors and pictures so this helps me to see the truth and gives me motivation to continue on my diet. I also wrote a list of what I ate before I began the diet and to start off I just took 1 thing off my list every three day that I did not need to eat. These things seem to help me a lot.
