Hello All -
My name is Brenda, I'm 44 (til April), married, mother of 2 girls, business professional, student. 2008 is going to hold alot of change for me. I have been going to school for the last 7 years, working on my Bachelor degree in Business Administration. I'm happy and proud to say I graduate in June this year, yeah!! But strange as it seems, I'm almost nervous about this change. School has been such a big part of my life, I'm not sure what I'll do without it. Alot of my friends and family tell me I'll find something to do, but I've been so tied up with homework, classes, studying, not sure how well I'll take the transition to graduate. Also, my 2 daughters are also graduating this year. My oldest from College in May, and my youngest from high school in June. That's right - all 3 of us are graduating together which I think is awesome, but again, I'm nervous about the empty nest thing. My youngest will be going to college about 6 hours away. The good news is that since January 9th, I've lost 11 pounds with SP and feel great. My house is going to be empty (no kids), and I won't have school to distract me. Others have gotten through it and I'm sure I will too, but I'm dealing with so many things this year at times it seems overwhelming. I am thankful for SP and the support and motivation it gives me. I have vowed to not order and XL graduation gown, but rather a M or L. That is my goal, to graduate and look/feel great.
My motto is "Lose Weight, & Graduate in 2008".
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Brenda.
