This is a great motivation for walking..!!
It helps to bring a
Good for all of you WALKERS out there..
Youíve got to stick with it. Change doesnít happen overnightónot meaningful, lasting change. Practice regularly, whether itís leg raises or gratitude exercises or positive affirmations. Make it part of your daily routine if possible.
You need patience (goes hand in hand with the persistence mentioned above). Itís seldom a straight shot to your goal. Youíll have setbacks and hit plateaus. But youíll also have breakthroughs and make great leaps forward. If you feel stuck, donít lose hope.
Well in the last week or so I have walked to the store - post office - friends house ... in the past I would just got in teh car and drove less than five minutes to do these same things - part of the result is the scale is now going down... I like that....
I bought some new shoes from academy today. Tomorrow I am learning the via route. My boyfriend has a problem with my wanting to walk. But my car broke down and these past few days have sucked having to lean on people more and be less independent.
I took my own advise - I walked to the post office across the street instead of taking the car - mental bloc you know - so much easier just to get into that vehicle and and drive - but I didn't I took Dalhouise and walked and I enjoyed it..
before I had the car - had no choice - had to walk to shop or take a bus. I would go with a little four wheel food cart. At that time it was half hour walk each way to the mall / stores for me. NOW I have a car and I moved.. I seldom walk to the store even though it is even just across the street - -- I'm bad. ------- it is a small plaza and a large parking lot and busy highway to cross... :)
Anyone walk to the grocery store? How long of a walk is it for you?
To heb its only maybe 2 or 3 miles total. To walmart its a lot more maybe 10 total. Anyways I am thinking of taking a backpack with me and just walking to the grocery store when I need stuff. It would save gas and get exercise in.
