Both, depends on the weather. It's been very steamy here lately so I've been doing the Leslie Sansone "Walk away the pounds" DVD's.....4 miles a day.

I love walking through my neighborhood's urban green space and then past all the little shops. I just have to be careful not to get distracted by the window displays!

I do both. I walk/run on the treadmill and when schedules and weather allow, I walk outdoors. I'm soooooo ready for spring and getting more long walks in. Yes!

I've never liked indoor exercise and am enjoying walking since joining SP. DRNIRENBERG's article is interesting and confirms what I've always suspected. Besides, being out in nature is fun when nature is being nice! The spring weather is lovely, but I'm dreading our hot, humid, horribly buggy summers. Not sure what I'll do then or in winter; workout videos, I guess. I've found lots of them on Youtube.

I prefer outside, but NH winters usually force me inside and on the treadmill for several months. Outside yesterday!

Guten Tag Dietcolalola! I've been to Germany and I want to come back to visit.

Today was a nice day so at lunchtime i was able to go out and walk for 30 min (1.53). I can only stand the treadmill and four walls for awhile. Tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day, so I'll be outside walking on the bike trail.

Happy Easter!

I do both because I live in Germany, where we do not always have the greatest weather for walking outside. I prefer it outside but if it means getting soaked in the rain, I'll hop on my treadmill.

I enjoy either, however the weather I do not have a valid excuse NOT to walk with a treddie...rain hail or shine...it is a possibility!! emoticon

I walk outside, even during inclement weather. I think you get a better workout because the ground is not the same

I love living in Tucson, AZ where walking outside is wonderful. On Feb 19th I was walking outside in shorts and a tshirt but on the 20th had to walk inside at the mall because of our snowfall. Thankfully this is a very rare occurance.

I don't drive so my only form of transport is my own two feet - pretty much all of my walking is done outdoors in all sorts of weather, generally carrying stuff. I do enjoy walking though thr nature reserve near my house on weekends just for pleasure and without a full backpack!

I don't own a treadmill or stationary bike but I have access to them on base. While it's convenient and climate controlled I feel better being outside. There's an energy I tend to get from being outside and it also allows me time to clear my head. When I'm walking with some of the people from the SA SparkPage being outside allows us to talk and work on our goals together vs trying to do that in a gym.

I do not own a treadmill but I do own both a stationary bike and a mountain bike - I would rather be outside than being stuck in the condo on a stationary bike - so I think the same principals would be in play treadmill verses out side

I don't own a treadmill but would like to (but I can't afford one) so I'm forced outside - which I'm getting use to but it's still a struggle.

I like to treadmill it. I watch netflix on my ipad. It keeps me focused and I don't get bored. I don't feel safe walking outside.

I love to walk outside like I'm going somewhere. Treadmill makes me feel grounded. Of course, as of right now I have haven't been doing a whole lot of either. Need to get back at it.

Being in F. for the winter I embrace the great outdoors. I walk a minimum of 4.5 miles split into 2 sessions. If I was at home, because of the snow I would be on the treadmill at the gym.

The Question - Do you do your walking inside on a treadmill or do you open the door and walk outside in the fresh air
