Not sure of my speed, somewhere at 3 mph, though. It's as fast as I can go with an 02 tank and a walker, though I did make a mile in 19 mins the other day.
There is a free Nike app for iPhone or android that keeps track of distance and calories and speed for you. I love it. The ap works outside or with my treadmill.
I have only missed one day since I started. Began with half a Nile, and my goal is a 5k. Can now do 1.75 miles pretty consistently, or at least could before this CHF hit last week, but I'm not stopping. The weight is falling off!
I will be thinner and healthier if it kills me. We don't say diet in our house-ever. Diets fail!

Right now I am at 3 miles per hour. I have slowed down in the past year. I am 58 and trying to get back into walking. I used to jog about 2 years ago. But I am committed to walking at least 6X per week. I do resistance training and I stretch after every walk. I learned the hard way about NOT stretching and cooling down..

I walked 5.5 kms in 60 mins today that is a good pace for me. I am slowly building up the mussels in my feet I over worked them and strained the mussels in the tops of my feet from walking on the beaches in California.
Currently walking about 3.0. Used to walk at a 4.0 pace, but doggy needs her exercise too, and I can't seem to get her to go faster than that (she's 11 now). Of course the actual speed is faster than that, but with sniffing and potty breaks included, it averages out to 3.0. We shoot for 3 miles total, sometimes 3.5, but again, that's about her limit for one session, so we try to go twice a day if possible.
Warm-up and cool-down at 3.0 to 3.5 mph for 2 to 3 minutes. I then bump it up a notch for another 1 to 2 minutes.
I walk normally above 3mph to above 4mph. The majority of my walk time is at the average speed is about 4 mph. If on the flat I will bump it to above 4 mph for intervals only, and higher rates infrequently and briefly.
(( BTW my weight is in pounds, NOT kilos, but I have no idea how to correct the graph displayed! ))
