I had hurt my legs, and ankles by exercising to much all at once but I am now getting better.
Working towards a healthier me.
So I have started slowly this time increasing my exercises.
May 07, 2011 walked flat terrain for 10 min.
May 08, 2011 walked flat terrain 2 kms in 25 min.
May 12, 2011 walked hilly terrain 1.3 kms in 16 min
May 14,2011 walked hilly terrain 2.3 kms in 30 min

Thanks, I don't work so I walk 20 minutes a a time and go as fast as I can. Right now I'm really sore in the hips...so I'm not walking as fast...but I'm GETTIN R DONE!!! emoticon

I love your attitude. It's the right one (or should I say, right/left/right one)... I have been on the site for a while and I still fumble that's okay, you are finding what you need, for right now. I have found the "SparkPeople Insider" on your login page really helpful to help me find my way. I use the nutrition calculator ALMOST every day (and look at the reports every couple of months), post my fitness, and it really does make a difference, IF you are being honest with yourself and your keyboard!!!

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

I walk about 30 minutes back and forth to the train everyday, and I added a 30 minute loop at lunch. So that brings me up to about 10,000 steps per day. Need to do a little more walking on the weekend.

That's right (left right). I feel like I'm in the Army now. I'm making my list, checking it twice. I am walking 30-45 minutes a day. Given, I just started this Monday. I will start counting steps instead of timing myselves. I will salute my Commanding Officer every morning as I arise and every evening as I retire. I NEED structure in my life and am finding such on this site. I'm so excited. I've already got one friend signed on. She and I are fumbling through the processes together but both are working hard at making this effort work. Thank you so much for all the pages we are entitled too. You're keeping me on my toes there Sergeant!!!
