Welcome. Walking the kids to school or walking the dog is a great way to get some activity. It is also fun to wear a pedometer. I wear mine all day and aim for a target number of steps. I'm walking across the U S and Australia as well as around the world. It gives me some incentive to keep going.

Hi Charlene! I'm kind of new, just a month here now. I started walking my son to school just a couple of weeks ago (depending on where I drop him off it is between .66 and 1 mile round trip). The walk is finally getting easier. I'll probably bump that up to walking to the school in the a.m. and again when he gets out of school. It's kind of hard this time of year when we don't know if we are going to get sunshine or snow, though. Look forward to hearing how your journey goes!
