Omron only counts aerobic minutes and not total minutes during the day. It does count total steps but only those that are continuous for ten or more minutes will be counted as aerobic. So, if you take a walk for 3.5 miles, it would count the amount of time that you took to walk that distance (in one or a few extended walks.) I count these minutes for exercise as casual walking really doesn't count as it doesn't raise the heart rate.
I also count my total steps as this is part of the increased activity during the day but I count them in different places. I hope this helps.

Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.
You will never "find" time for anything. If you want time, you must make it.
Hi PALMTREEFL, I tried to find your model on the internet, but couldn't locate it. Are you sure you have the correct model. My model HJ-112 has time, but it only tracks the aerobics minutes. It doesn't track the total time of your movements. The aerobic time shows up on the aerobic steps, bottom left side. I hope this helps.
Help!!! Need your help or advice please. I bought the Omron HRJ 712 pedometer last week and love it - its so quiet. BUT this does not track time. On the fitness tracker I want to track my steps and the mileage for the day. But this meter does not track time.
For example the Pro-line that I use to have would show that I walk 5.87 miles in 2.37 hours(the time was accumulate through the day). The Omron does not.
So is there away to track the mileage without the time? or how would you figure it out?
