That's ok normally, but as I said I'm working on training for a 1/2 marathon and since I'm walking it's going to be over 3 hours. It's not big deal anyway. I was just wondering why.

Spark is limiting our fitness minutes to discourage those who would over exercise and be obsessive. Overtraining is not healthy and can harm us. It is viewed as a similar problem to anorexia.

This gives us some limitations and guidelines. Most people shouldn't train or exercise longer than 2 hours on any given day. It is hard on the body and can harm you. Moderation is a good idea.

I think if we work more than 120 minutes, it should accommodate that. Maybe we should ask them why that's the limit. My guess would be that they don't encourage more than that, for safety reasons. That's understandable, but sometimes it feels good to work that little extra.

Don't be afraid of trying and failing, be afraid of not trying at all. Trying leads to accomplishing. Accomplishing leads to success.

I read somewhere on this web site that SP will only give you credit for up to 120 min. per day........

I don't do that much on a regular basis either. It's just that I'm in the final training for a 1/2 marathon this Sunday and had to get in a long distance session. Anyway, this isn't a big deal, just strange.

I haven't done 120 mins in one day yet emoticon

Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)

The fourth glass of wine is always a good idea before you do it and a really bad idea afterward! ;-)

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

yes... that's the place. I guess Spark will only track up to 120 mins per day, which is weird.

I just logged my long distant training session in the Spark Fitness. It was 187 mins and 20.3km. But what I noticed is that on the "My SparkEarth Fitness Minutes" where it logs you time for this week, this month, this year and has the Yearly Goal... it only shows 120 mins.

Does anyone know if you can only log up to 120 mins per day?

I don't know why I never noticed this before because I often log more than 120 mins of activity for a day. emoticon
