For everyday use, I wear MBTs. Very expensive but worth it. I am very hard on shoes and have special feet needs. I have used and like New Balance shoes. I bought some running shoes but don't remember what they are called. I should wear/use them more often, LOL!

I only wear Sketchers. I buy directly from their website. It is tax free and sign up to receive free shipping (that is free also) They also have good sales. True, Sketchers are expensive, but they last for a long time. I am never disappointed with my purchases.
They are weird looking but I love them. I had bought a pair in the spring and left them in the gym and someone stole them so just replaced them a few weeks ago. They work my calves, hips and butt. force me to stand up straight when I am walking so I do get a better workout. Now to jsut get out walking again. I go occasionally but when I was daycaring the grandkids every day I had to go to the school and back and got a good walk in 5 days a week.
They are well worht the money if you can afford them.

i wear mine through out the day at work. I also have plantar faccitis, and it feels like they give me more support than normal shoes. i am hoping in the future to be able to afford a pair of their running shoes. i do agree- they are weird looking, but my feet just feel better in them
I WORK 2 PM - 10 PM MON - FRI. & I RECENTLY BOUGHT ME A PAIR OF SKETCHERS. i CANT AFFORD A 100.00+ FOR THE SHAPE-UPS ALTHOUGH A LOT OF THE NURSING STAFF WHERE I WORK ARE SLOWLY SWITCHIN OUT THIER SHOES 4 THE SHAPE-UPS. I WOULD LUV 2 HAVE A PAIR... BUT MONEY DOES NOT ALLOW THEM. BUT I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH 2 FIND A PAIR OF VERY COMFORABLE SKETCHERS ON SALE AT THE SPORTS ACADEMY FOR 37.99 ( 41.53 WITH TAXES ) I WEAR THEM 2 WORK & 2 THE GYM 4 MY W/O'S....
I do own the Sketchers Shape ups, and they help me with pain in my knees, and my back... I had back surgery about two years ago and my feeling on my left leg has no fully come back and I need shoes that are comfortable to walk in. These shoes are very comfortable for me to walk in, and I feel them working my calf's, back of my legs, and my butt... They have not helped me loss any weight... it has made it easier for me to work out. If you are looking for a comfortable shoe, that does seem to work out your legs and back then I would suggest them... they also force you to stand up straight, and that works out my abs! :) Hope it helps you... it is alot of money, and I got mine as a gift!
Thank all of you for your immediate reply to my post. I truly appreciate the information and the comments. The look of them does not bother me as much as if they are worth the money. I have not heard of sneakers by Dr. Scholls--they,too, sound interesting. Where did you purchase them?
I have a pair that I wear recreationally, but not for my actual exercise since I'm training for a marathon and need proper shoes for that. Aside from being the ugliest things I've ever worn, they feel great, they force good posture, and they provide good foot support. I recommend them if you can get past their looks!

I have a pair and I love them. I feel that they really help exercise my legs more on top of the exercise that I get from walking. I think they are worth the money plus they force you to have better posture. As far as the weight loss goes......they aren't a miracle for this. Weight loss comes from the old fashioned way of eating less. Good luck with your Shape Ups if you choose to buy them.

I need to buy a new pain of sneakers and Sketcher Shape Ups were recommended. Does anyone have them and do they actually help with exercising and promote weight loss as advertised? They are a lot of money but if they do what the advertisement says they do, it is worth the money. Thank you
