I got it! I'm so excited!
Put it in last night, filled out my profile, and actually did a workout. I'm feeling it today, I tell ya!

Keep moving forward!

I love the game. Its challenging at the easy level, which is good. I might have to buy mine.. its costing too much to rent for as long as Im using it. I dont want to send it back yet!

Hi! This game is at the top of my birthday list - and that's this Friday. I am really hoping I get it!

I don't have any other Wii exercise games - I don't have the fit or the balance board, so I've been hesitant to buy something without good reviews, but this one looked good on TV. Good to read positive comments so far!

Keep moving forward!

Hi.

I use Bob as the trainer. I dunno what he's saying either. I really have no clue. Maybe it's something he says on the TV show and it'd be more understandable when you see his lips moving.

My 17 yr old son went first and it reallyworked him out! It was great! I used it today and went light, warmup, 12 min. workout and cooldown. I got a little winded but thats ok, I wanted to start off slow.
I have a question for those who have used Bob as the trainer.. He says something while you workout and I cant figure out what it is. It sounds like.. um.... ".. such a boy love-ah" . What in the world is he really saying??

I got this one last week and have done a few workouts with it, and one challenge. It's good. I do have to modify some of the exercises in this one. I don't do jumping. It's hard on my knees. So when we do jump jacks, I do modified ones. The only beef I have with this one is that when you make up your own routine, there is a lot of standing around between exercises. But the pre-built workouts and challenges are great.

Hi.

I've done three challenges now, each one different. Some of them are quite short, and some are long. Each time it's said afterward that it's increasing my intensity henceforth to get a better workout. (my words, it doesn't say 'henceforth' :)

Anyway, this morning it gave me a 'challenging' workout, 39 minutes. I looked for a way to wimp out and pick something easier, but it wasn't easy enough to find at 5:30am so I did it what it wanted anyway. I finished sweaty and panting without feeling too awful, but I did cheat a little on the sumo jumping jacks and the planks--I modified them slightly so I could actually do them without collapsing. It didn't notice.

I still like doing the workouts better without the board. You don't need the board at all to play, you can even do your weigh in without it by plugging in whatever the scale said.

Today was the first time I got a slightly different cool-down. Up til now it's been the same warm-up and cool-down every time.

Occasionally ol' Bob says inappropriate things--like telling me he's 'already out of breath' during the cool-down. I suspect that's because the particular move is also used in warm-ups or workouts at other levels. But mostly he still isn't annoying with the repetitive comments. Much better than the yammering of most DVDs.

I can't say it's especially fun getting up early to do the workouts, and the workouts are always indoors, in the weight room, with the same two posters on the wall, but the exercises are different each time. That's definitely keeping the challenge level up. And the feedback about form, while limited, is still keeping me from wussing out on stuff like punches and side steps and squats.

I had it set for a 4 week challenge, so this should be the last week, ending on Friday. One pound to go to make my goal for these four weeks (5 lbs).

Saturday the game either had a glitch or was trying to tell me something. It gave me a light yoga workout, but also had extra training time already logged (35 minutes). I tried to live up to what it wanted, but it was a busy day so I did the extra on Sunday. Now, of course, I'm sore. :)

I feel like the program is definitely helping my fitness level. Unquestionably, actually. And I'm hopeful it will help me regain range of motion in my right wrist with all these planks and stuff. :) I wonder what will happen when I can do all the exercises it has without skimping on any of them.

Maybe they'll come out with another version. :)

I started at the beginner level in the program (haven't tried a challenge yet) and was breathing hard and sweating, but really enjoyed it. Thanks for the input about the difference between using the board and not using it. I think I'll try it without it tonight. I do my weigh with wii fit plus in the mornings. I use the BL in the evenings.

Hi.

I haven't used it with a heart rate monitor yet. That would probably be a good idea, but my husband absconded with mine for his biking. :)

If I really try to do good form, I end the 'light' workout sweating and feeling good, and sore the next day in a pleasant way. If I lighten up because I'm sore or tired or whatever, then I sweat less and probably get less from it. Once I overdid it and felt like I was going to throw up/pass out.

Yesterday I did my first 'challenge' with it, and today I am hobbling because my calf muscles are sore and so are my feet. I need to walk it off. :) The challenge demanded that I give my all on some football runs (wide leg low height fast jog) and tire runs (slower high-knee jog), then rest briefly like six times. I managed to 'win' compared to past winners of the show, and I was waaaaaay winded and sweaty. Hopefully the next time I try that I'm more fit so I don't have to rest so long between rounds. :)

The game told me after the challenge that it has increased the intensity level of my workouts for me, but I haven't tried one at the new level yet. I was doing 'light' workouts, and I think there are five intensity levels in total. Light is the lowest. I am a little bit afraid. :) I think it's scheduled that one for today, but I have a few things I need to do first before I get my workout in... like stretch out my legs enough to walk like a human.

Hi.

The difference without the board is that the exercises don't wait for you before they begin. The only break is at the end of a circuit, or when you have to switch the remote to another hand or your pocket--and that won't wait forever, just a few seconds.

Hi! I'm new here. I've had my Wii Fit for a while, but only got serious with it a week ago. I read the reviews on Biggest Loser and got it and the Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2010 for later. I did my first workout with BL tonight and really enjoyed it. I have never had a workout that good. I'll be sticking with this one for a bit. I understand the Jillian one is harder so I'll use the BL to work up to it. I have the Wii Fit Plus as well and really enjoy the games on it, but it's not as aggressive as BL and I need something to kick my fanny into gear right now.

Does anyone notice any difference in the workout with BL when only using the remote and not the board? I have a small space for workouts and I get tired of shoving the board around. It really breaks up the routine.

Hi.

I did an 18 minute routine this morning. I was greeted with 'well, look who it is!' a couple of times. I did the routine before breakfast and didn't push myself as hard, so I held up better this time.

The game changes the routine a bit each day, I guess. Today it was some wood chopping, some boxing, and a few yoga moves (down dog, chair). No jumping jacks! :)

Each day when I log in it gives me the opportunity to log my calorie total, log any activity I've done outside the game, continue my fitness plan (do the day's routine, basically), or do other stuff a la carte.

My form is apparently getting a little better on some of the exercises, I have less fumbling on the ones I've done before. It seems as though the voiceover instruction is there on the first circuit even on the things I've done before, but it doesn't *stop* the workout to tell you about it, so it doesn't bug me. On the second circuit there's no instructions, as before.

This time I did the routine totally without the balance board. So it moved from exercise to exercise without stopping. It only stopped after the end of the first circuit for the water break. With the balance board, every time you switch from on to off or off to on the board, it stops to wait for you to move the board and you have to press A. Just switching the wiimote from left hand to right hand to pocket allows time, but doesn't stop to wait.

I was a little sore before I started this morning's routine. Now I'm a lot sore from three days in a row and a day behind a desk. :) I am determined to keep going, though, because moving around loosens things up.

The warm up and cool down seem to be exactly the same all three times I've done them.

I like it so far. I am happy with how it's going.

How fun! I haven't gotten a new game in a while, I'm looking forward to getting something. I think I may be leaning towards the BL one. I don't think I'll try the new Jillian one next year, unless it get stellar reviews, I didn't like that last one at all!!

I did a 23 minute workout this morning plus the warm up and cool down...and nearly threw up during the cool down.

I should say it picks the exercises for you when you pick a timed routine. You can set your own routine if you want to, I guess, but I figured I'd better let it lead for a while. Well, 23 minutes shortly after breakfast was a bit more than I should really have done. My blood pressure crashed and I got nauseous during the last few stretches and had to sit down.

Some things I learned:

* I need to do shorter workouts for a while until I get a little stronger, I think.
* Squats with side kicks totally kick my butt if I try to achieve the same height Bob's doing.
* Jumping jacks are ten times harder *slow* like Bob does them. Supportive bra definitely required there.
* The board is not used as much for judging form as I thought. It didn't seem to care when I sat down on the couch to recover--even though the stretches required using the board. It told me I had perfect form on tricep stretches when the wiimote was stationary in my lap and I wasn't on the board at all. :(
* Really unfit out of shape types should start with _very_ short workouts to start. I lack endurance but I could achieve all the moves.
* Doing the routine in two circuits allowed me to recover slightly in the middle (it pauses to allow you to drink some water) by taking an extra minute to gulp air.
* I have _lots_ of room to improve my fitness! Holy cow! I knew that, of course, but to have my butt totally kicked by a 'light' workout is humbling. :)
* There were still only encouraging remarks and some minor corrective statements--nothing derogatory at all, even when I had to stop. Of course, if it could *tell* that I had stopped maybe there would have been something else. It would have been nicer if it had paused and maybe asked me if I was OK or needed a minute or wanted to quit.

Anyway, tomorrow I'll go a little lighter on the time and see if I can complete it without feeling like I was going to pass out. :) I am kinda wondering if it will deliberately pick exercises I'm not very good at to make me work harder..

Well, there are 88 exercises, it says on the box. You can just start a quickie and exercise without doing a whole routine, just to see what they are and how to do them. My kids did yoga deep breathing and also the cool down routine (they're 4) and were able to follow it OK.

Yesterday I did some side steps, jogging in place, a couple different kinds of lunges (with and without torso twists), some wood chopping and wood-chop-lunge combos. Some stuff was with the fit board, and some stuff without. It seemed to want the board for every other exercise I did. I did a 'beginner' workout because I haven't moved in months. :)

This was very much like an exercise DVD without the annoying chitchat. I like that. And this game does use the board and the wiimote to 'see' what you're doing, judge your performance, and give you feedback. The wiimote vibrates frequently, so it will probably be a battery-sucking game, but it helped me know what it was seeing, since the vibrations were about what I was doing in relation to what the game wanted. It seemed to track me pretty well.

Each exercise gives you feedback on form with a little ticker bar. You get up to five icons for each exercise if you do it perfectly, and less if not. I was able to get 3 icons or more on most of the exercises, especially in the second circuit. In the second circuit, by the way, it skipped the instructions for how to do the exercise, which was way cool.

The pacing was pretty good, I wasn't standing around waiting like you do with original wii fit. So I was able to keep my heart rate up moving from exercise to exercise. Interestingly, when the game is waiting for you to get your balance board ready for the next exercise (have to press A when you're ready), the voiceover instructing you how to do the exercise continues.. That was slightly weird, but when you press A, the exercise starts from the beginning with no skipping.

As far as whether I like the game so far, we'll see what it does when I haven't lost weight for a day or when it wants me to do something I'm clumsy with or something. So far no snide remarks like wii fit.

DH looked through the recipe book that comes with and said some of them sounded pretty good. Haven't looked at the recipes in the game, but there's a whole section for that.

I did the exercises about 12 hours ago now, and I'm definitely feeling the effort in my back, with that wood chopping. That's not a movement I'm accustomed to, and I feel it, though it's not precisely 'sore' it's more like I used those muscles well. Maybe tomorrow I'll be sore, maybe not.

Anyway, there's nothing so far to turn me off. I signed on for Bob as my trainer, as Jillian seemed a little more abrasive on the show. But my kids wanted Jillian and barring a sharp correction on effort when the kids were confusing the board, in the game she wasn't obnoxious. :) All the feedback from Bob was encouraging or corrective (watch that knee, I don't want to see it going past your ankle!).

Give me a few days or a week and I'll come back with more feedback.

I'm interested in knowing how you like the games. I haven't bought anything yet because I wasn't sure what to get. Also Jillian Michaels is trying again; anybody know about the 2010 version?

I bought the biggest loser for wii today and tried it out with my kids. So far so good, I made it through a 6 minute warm up, 20 minute workout, and 8 minute cool down. It was mostly easy to get the exercises figured out, though I need to practice more to get good at the form and rhythm.

Bought this one because it has more exercises than Wii Fit Plus and EA Active.

It's got a calorie tracker, but won't translate food to calories for you--you have to know that already.

The music was good, it changed frequently and was never annoying. The positive comments, while repetitive, were also not annoying. I broke a sweat, which was good.

Gonna have to see over the next few days how easy and quick it is to get to the workout from the menu.

My mom just bought Wii Fit Plus for herself, so I hope to try that one out when I visit her.

Was at 175 in September 2009.

171 when I joined SP in October 2009.

Did mostly nothing in 2011..

Now my insurance is going to make me pay more if I can't get down to 'normal' range.
