I did the running yesterday, that's fun! I don't normally do the running ones (hurt ankle) but I figured I'd just do it a few minutes, but then I ended up doing it for like 10 mins because I loved the bear punching!

Nope, I wish it was the batteries! I end up almost hurting myself because I keep straining and moving freakishly to try to get something to register. And at a fast pace to keep with the program! I bet if I was on the outside looking in I would be on the floor laughing!

I'm just not enjoying this game lately!! Ugh! Nothing is registering for me as I get into harder levels. My body shots and uppercuts don't register and I'm not doing great w/blocks either. My blocks only register if I put my hand straight up in the air.

I don't know what's going on! emoticon

I'll have to look for that one and get a HRM count for you :) It will have to be later, though. I'm not sure how much exercise I'll get in next week. We've got cub scout day camp all week. I'll be walking up and down hills, and may wear my HRM just for kicks :)

I think I found that one the other day on GG. Will have to look again :) 800 is great in one segment!!

LOL!! You know, there's only one now I'm using, I get bored with stuff too easily! It's a prevention one with Chris Freytag. I don't really like her, but it makes me sweat. I can't remember the name. I think it's shortcuts to big weight loss.

I happened to hit on a great GGCW routine yesterday, I needed it, I haven't been getting good ones lately. It had lots of punch and ducking combo's, just one segment got me over 800 on hitcount!

This morning I had 30-40 mins and wasn't sure what to do, I ended up doing a cardio dvd that is fast paced and incorporates weights in it, I was wishing I had your hrm to see how many I burned!

I will!! I plan to do something different every day next week...but it depends on my sleeping habits!! LOL I've been sleeping in, and that throws my schedule way off, and of course, when I work, doesn't give me time to exercise :( I do hope to do a biggest loser dvd tomorrow, or maybe even MFC. Plus I think I'll have to mow the lawn, if it's not raining :) Curious how many calories that burns too!! Hahaha..I'm loving my new toy :)

Gosh, it doesn't seem like it burns enough! It makes me wonder if it's worth the time! I mean, with my bad ankle I can't do many other things, so I'm doing it anyway, but once I get back in the groove, I wonder if like My Fitness Coach would burn more in the same amt of time. Or how boxing on wii fit stacks up... If you ever get around to tracking those, be sure to let me know!

LOL!! I did it today after work and I agree!! Sometimes it takes FOREVER!! LOL I played 34 min today (that's according to my HRM, so includes down time switching and such) and barely hit 1000...ugh!! LOL Good thing it's only 3x's per week!! ROFL

I was dissappointed with my calories today too...167!! UGH UGH UGH I must have been moving on my legs more yesterday! LOL

Aww man, that's kinda depressing! I always took the #'s with a grain of salt, but it's sad it's less than Spark!

The one thing I don't like about the game is how it'll say the calorie burn for little things. Sometimes it'll say 6 calories. I'd rather not know!!

Ok--I used my HRM this morning playing this "game". I was excited to see the differences between what the games says you burn, what spark says, and what the HRM says...

The game said I should burn about 150 cal (forgot to write it down, and it was a prepared workout, so I don't think I can look it up again).

According to spark, the 27 min of boxing I burned 274 cal, and 3 min of running burned 37 min, for a total of 311 cals.

And my HRM had me at 30 min of activity and burned 218 cals.

Now I will be comparing it with my DVD's I use...

They're both really good, I'm not overly concerned, I'm just thinking it'll be too easy to skip it when they're both here.

I did 1100 today. I didn't want to! I had to push myself to do that last 200... good thing the goal # was lowered!

I usually hit it while they eat breakfast. Then they just have to deal till I'm done :) But we dont' usually have the TV on until after lunch anyway....

Today's one of my daughter's last days of preschool, I may as well hit it hard today! I was thinking I could start getting up early to workout, but the kids are waking up before 6! I know I'm just gonna have to tell them to find something to do while I work out but it's hard with the Wii, since it's a game and they want to play too!

I guess I should have said son and daughter ;) My oldest son did join in finally, so now it's 2 sons and 1 little princess :) They've been asking all day to play it!! Haha...I work tomorrow, so the boys are home all day. I don't allow them to play outside when I'm not home, so I'm curious just how long they'll play on this game while I'm gone!! My arms are still sore from yesterday and today....

I'm glad you changed it to 1000. 2 of the longer ones gets me to about 1200 or so, but I really didn't want to do another 12-14 min just to get to 1500!! LOL...1000 I think will be better for me :)

Gold, there's crunches?!? Yikes! I'm scared! But excited too, it's fun to have more stuff.

I haven't come across a punching area yet.... just that area where you have to punch the bag 10x to get it to fly off. That's sooo easy, I wish that they just let you hit till time ran out!

Ok, that's hysterical Michele, because I lowered it 5 mins ago and now I'm reading this that you think 1000 is better too! Great minds think alike!

We may as well start for this week. If we need to lower it again we can. Oh, I had to delete that goal so whoever started tracking it has to take that one off their page and add the new one.

Is there a way I can just free hit a bag or something in game? I always have to take tests or whatever they are called. Do I have to unlock something special to get to the just punching place? Sometimes I just want to let off a little steam.

Those crunches on the game sure do hurt!

Ooops...just saw you already added the 1500 hit count!! This is great!! I have horrible upper body strength, and this helps quite a bit. Now i'll be even more motivated trying to get a spark streak going with it!! LOL

I hope to start using this a couple times a week. I would join a challenge if it's started. I don't know what it should be, though. I am thinking about 3 days a week I could use it, and about 30 min, which would be (I'm guessing) about 1000 punches?? I did about 20 min this morning and got about 600?? But, I could be off on my numbers. I forget ;)

Also, we got jump rope figured out!!! DO NOT move your hands!! Just hold them still and jump. You have to find the rhythm of jumping, though. SO play with it a bit. DH is way better than I am, but it's doable!! And with practice, it will be EASY! LOL As soon as I figured it out, I thought to myself, DUH!! This is EASY!! LOL

Ok, gotta go. I'll check in on the challenge :)

I started it yesterday, it says 'get a 1500 punchcount 3x per week. " Maybe we'll get even higher soon and can start a higher one!

I used it yesterday and got to like 800 and was gonna stop but kept going to 1500! I'm getting to double punches now which is so fun, I really love this game!! I've unlocked lots of stuff and gotten new trainers and clothes and stuff but haven't even played with that yet.

Should we go for a certain # of punches per week? I think I'll probably use it 3x a week or so, last time I did 1500 punches I think. What are your averages?

I got the duck to work! I didn't actually duck much I just kinda quickly thrust the remotes down and to my side. It seemed like with the right and left duck I didn't have the time to get where I needed to be so that worked the best for registering it!

I totally understand what you mean. Was just a thought.

You mentioned you had trouble with the game registering left uppercuts...I haven't had that problem. But do have problems with it registering the right and left duck.

I dont' know! I'm having a hard time figuring it out. Since we all use multiple games and exercise methods, it's not like we'd use only this game, so it can't be too high of a goal..... And should we challenge each other or ourselves each week?? Anyone have any ideas??

I did 1500 today. It was really frustrating though, for the first time. My left uppercuts weren't registering and I was getting so annoyed. I practically threw out my back trying to fanagle it to register!

It sounds great to me! I got the game two days early, on Saturday! I've been doing it every other day, just so I don't totally throw out my back or shoulder (Which happens all the time!) I find that I really punch HARD with this game. Way harder than the boxing on Wii fit. I don't know why.

I tried the jump rope...can't get it to work. If you girls figure it out please let me know. That is the only issue I have with that game. Your going to love it!!

LOL!! Glad to hear I"m not the only one :) My 6 year old can only do so much too. She'll rest for a while, and get back up and join. My 9 year old usually sticks with it, but he goes too fast on things and gets winded quickly!! Hahahaha...

I too was constantly telling them to move it!! Our living room is only so big...And NO they canNOT use my weights and mat--ummm...I kinda need them LOL

That's great they do it with you! Mine do sometimes too, but my daughter, 4, is a bit... lazy! LOL! She'll do a few minutes of exercise and then lay on the floor!! LOL! My son, 8, will keep up with it though!! But usually I have to tell them to move out of my way! Like in Coach, i go to do a grapevine and I'm afraid it's going to be like "bowling for babies" if I knock into them!!

Then I think I'll continue to just add my weights myself :) I need to get my upper body strength up and then maybe I'll say NO SWEAT!! LOL

As for the ball, I've used it a few times--can't remember which ones though!! Probably core, and I've used it on upper body (for chest flies)--not sure what else!! I'll try to remember to post which ones I use them on :)

My younger 2 kids like to exercise with me--they are 9 and 6. Their favorite is "roll like a ball" LOL!!

I've noticed a lot of times I log in with weights in the beginning but it doesn't get used much. I do the same thing as you, just add them in. My son (8) does it sometimes and always checks off stability ball but it's never had him use it. I keep telling him to do core exercises and she might use it then, but he keeps forgetting!

LOL!! Yep, I try not to put "no sweat"--I'm too scared!! Hahaha...My thing is she does so much without weights, so I add them on my own, and say I was "working hard"--well, do I put no sweat to make her work me harder?? LOL--I'm scared she'll do harder exercises, not just add weights. I like the exercises, but need the weight ;)

I was just thinking I should do that routine today, but then I remembered last time I said the workout was 'no sweat' even though I was dying. That means the next time I do it, she's gonna kill me!! emoticon

Yes, the lower body in fitness coach kicks butt!! My thighs were sore for 2 days...

I'm still on the debate for the cardio one...i do enjoy the boxing on wii fit, but would like more variety with it, so may keep it. Decisions, decisions...

I went ahead and did the Gold's Gym game again, but I didn't have anywhere near the umph I had the day before. I'm going to give it a rest today and do something else instead.

You might want to rest today. I used mine last night and on Tuesday night...hurts to raise my arms. Those ab crunches were tough! Did you try the jump rope? I couldn't seem to get that to work right. Sorry I keep going on and on about it.

I'm super sore today from the Gold's Gym one. I like it better than the boxing on the Wii fit, because it lasts longer and seems to register my punches better than the Wii fit game does. It's got lessons on how to do the punches, then different workouts you can do. I've only done one, but like I said, I'm super sore today. For abs we did leg lifts where you're on the ground with your legs on the balance board, and every time the bell rings you lift both legs. It lasted two minutes, but I didn't emoticon . I think I'd like to play again today, but I'm not sure it's a good idea, as sore as I am today.
Anyway, if you like boxing workouts, you'll like this, and if you like the Wii boxing but wish it were longer and a little more varied, then you'll love this.

I love the boxing in Wii Fit. I haven't been able to do it lately. I injured my back and neck and for some reason when I do that lately, it aggrivates my shoulder. I think I'm punching too hard!! lol! I should go back to the easier one, with the lower time frame, work up those shoulder muscles a little more!

it's great when the time goes by so quickly. I find that happens with me when I do My Fitness Coach. I'm always surprised when I look at the time ticker!

Hi! Just joined your group,

I bought the cardio workout yesterday. I liked it, but I have been looking for a boxing program to use to workout with. It really made me sweat and 50mins seemed like 5min.

I'm really waiting for the Active to come out in May.

New here. I just bought this yesterday since TRU had it for $20, but I think I'm taking it back. I've looked at it more online and just doesn't seem to be what I want. I'm really enjoying My Fitness Coach, and it's a mix of what I need, so think Gold's is going back. Seems to be mostly boxing from what I've read online, with a few other things thrown in, several of which are on WiiFit.

The Gold's Gym workout releases Tuesday I think. Anyone planning on getting it? I saw a few pictures from it and read the description but it doesn't seem different from the other Wii exercise games I have, I don't think I'm getting it. Plus, I want to wait and see reviews anyway, I bought one over the summer that I thought was horrible. I'm glad I got my money back for it, but I don't wanna chance buying anything on the first day again!
