Hi team thanks for the feed back

Well i dont smoke or drink . i do take a vitamin an do my workouts.

thanks for the tip about iron.

its finally cool down into the 97 degrees . rest of week we are heading for 80

you know in 3 months of the year at night it runs in high 95 easily . we are blessed now
running in cooler nights . long hot summer emoticon emoticon

I'm chiefly concerned with the same ones Kierae is too. If you tweak your diet you can usually find what you need to eat to meet most of your needs. Plus I take a daily vitamin for old ladies. LOL. If you are over 50 you don't want a vitamin with iron in it unless you have been diagnosed with iron deficiency.

*bravo* Tish and I totally concur. I track all the nutrients also but the ones I try to keep on top of is the carbs, fiber and sodium since they affect me the most.

I'm a nurse so I tract all the nutrients. I don't worry much about total cholesterol though as it is not a true indicator of heart disease risk. Most of the cholesterol in your body is manufactured by your liver, only 15 t0 20% of it comes from food. C-reactive protein is a much better indicator of heart health. The important things to concentrate on your lipid profile are your HDL, triglycerides, and HDL/LDL ratio. Cholesterol meds have not been proven to be all that effective in women and are over prescribed. They don't do anything to change the HDL to LDL ratio which is the most important thing. They have serious side effects and I would not take them. The best way to lower cholesterol is to not smoke, limit alcohol, exercise, lose weight, consume omega 3 oils, get fiber, and cut back on the worthless carbs.

hi team
any one else tracking nutrients ???? i have to watch my cholesterol intake to avoid
the meds for the high cholesterol. one day i had over 2,000 . That was a wake up call
so for a week i put in my foods for the day and keep a close eye on it . I was also
out of balance with protein and and fiber . but i was right on for the carbs.

well its under control thanks to the tracker .

I found a neat receipt for a SUGAR FREE FIBER ONE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES.

calls for 1 cup of peanut butter,1 cup of fiber one cereal ( original ) one cup of splenda 1 large egg. bake at 350 makes 26 servings 67.0 cal ,5.4 fat,10.6 cholesterol,4.0 carbs protein 3
i just love peanut butter yummy . emoticon
