Would recommend reading the book. But I agree that you can just check it out from the library.

I got the books from the library, too. Making copies of info I want to keep. It has lots of tips, etc in it and I like the recipes.

I did the library route for the book and the cookbooks. Then I decided what I wanted to purchase - ironically I did buy the Supercharged but it tends to get "loaned" out to friends and family all the time.

I agree with prairedawnpam it helped me get it. Helped me understand its a lifestyle change and why it is necessary. I picked mine up at a used book store for $8.

I found that reading the books helped me to "get it", especially when I struggled with Phase 1 or why I had to eliminate certain foods. Try Freecycle.org or a used book store.

I love the library idea. I found inspirational stuff in the book. But it was given to me. If you found a list and are happily losing weight then keep going and don't worry.
