I tried a frozen SB dinner once and emoticon it wasn't very good. I had the pork with pecans and green beans. Maybe the phase 2 frozen meals are better.

I was in the store today and found a whole bunch of the new frozen varities. Will have to try and let you all know. I found turkey, meatloaf, southwest dish and some new chicken dish. I did notice that the packages have shrunk quite a bit. The pork with green beans looks so much smaller. What's up with that? That one always had just the right amount of food for me.

Wait? These companies are bulking up their frozen meals with super cheap pasta/rice/carbs and cutting back on the healthy veggies but charging the consumer the same price? Say it ain't so!!! And I put such trust in the commercial food industry!!

Hahahaha...all kidding aside - I gave up on frozen meals because they are just so unsatisfying to me, small, tasteless, filled with fake stuff. I really reccomend when you are home and cooking dinner just make an extra batch, get some of those disposable tupperwares that are made for meals (you know the ones that have the divider in them so they have compartments like frozen meals) and just pack up some extra and toss it in the freezer. If you can make 1-4 extras each time you cook you will have a freezer full of healthy, easy, satisfying frozen dinners you can take on the plane with you before you know it.

If you look carefully, there are a few Lean Cusine ones that fit phase 1. They seem to be harder to find than they were a year or so ago. Now it seems all the brands are putting back the rice and pasta and skipping the low carb versions.

I tried the WW meals too but most of them seemed really spicy to me. Their deserts are pretty good though.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I used to eat the WW frozen meals when I traveled, and I didn't mind them at all. I've tried the Progresso Southwestern Vegetable soup that has "0" WW points. It's low calorie and very tasty. I know it's loaded with sodium, but at least it would be something hot!

I like the Kung Pao Chicken the best, I think. they are hard to find here, so we only buy them occasionally. My DH loves their pizza, but I haven't tried it.

I have tried all the phase I meals. They are alright. My favorite is an asian beef and veggies(it has califlour), but it is hard to find that one sometimes. I like the pork and pecans, too. Keep in mind they are frozen dinners, but they are definitely edible and I have atleast 1 or 2 a week.

I know they make a pork with pecans and green beans for phase 1. It wasn't all that bad. I think there might be another one but it's slipping my mind at the moment.I think something in the Asian line is also phase 1.
As far as the other meals, I really like the Asian line. One even comes with rice, which threw me off. The pizzas aren't bad. Granted, not as good as the real thing, but pretty decent.

There are some, but you ought to taste one first before bringing it on a plane as your only source of food. IMO, they are completely disgusting tasting.

There are a couple and they have the phase noted on the box. Make sure you supplement with a salad or veggies if you can since the veggie serving in one of those meals is equivalent to about a 1/2 usually.

I'm pretty sure that there are a few out there. I think I'm remembering a chicken marinara type thing with broccoli and then another one with pork and green beans. But check on the back of the boxes. The SBD brand ones list the allowable phases right on the package :)

Still on Ph 1, but are there any SB frozen dinners that would be allowed? I'm a flight attendant, and when I'm out flying and can't get to a restaurant, I really want hot food! I can keep food cold on the airplane and have a convection oven to cook. I do take fresh veggies, hummus, meat rollups, etc. Thanks much!
