I love The Joy Fit Club. I was pretty psyched to learn that Hacker's Diet person went there so I watched your segment ( tinyurl.com/joyfit ). I appreciated the part of how you lost all of the weight at 26 and gained it all back for years. I recently went through the same thing, just with smaller numbers, as you know from reading my blog. I agree with you, it is incredibly easy to let maintenance slip away from you. Hopefully when I get back there I will have learned my lesson.
Again, it was super cool seeing an HDer on Joy Fit !!
Several Spark People have been featured in there too, BTW.
Some even used the Hacker's Diet approach (me). But when you go on there, you are only allowed to mention one single resource or program, and since SP put my name forward that's the one I used.
Never, ever, EVER give up!
From BMI 53 (336 lbs) to under 30. Now aiming for less than 20% body fat.
Goal 155 +/- 3%
I was having a conversation in another thread, when the topic of the lack of Hacker's Diet success stories on the web came up. There are just not that many people using it. I made the point that calorie counting/portion control is the one of the cores of the HD and there are many success stories out there for people using calorie counting.
I like this youtube channel. It collects "Joy Fit Club" segments from one of those morning talk shows. Each segment is an inspiring success story and most of the stories are about people who used portion control, not some crazy fad diet.
Very inspiring videos
