OK don't know if this is happening to others with the squeaky gazelles or not but I've found with mine that the way I stride when on my gazelle does affect how mine squeaks. I can adjust my feet and it'll get quieter, so it might be where you stand or how you stride. I have a habit of kinda swinging my feet out to the side because of a bad hip, and if I do that mine squeaks, so have to watch how I stride. Also, on mine I've noticed the heavier the person using it the more it squeaks.

So try adjusting where you stand on the peddles and make sure your normal gait isn't messing with the way the gazelle is supposed to glide.....that may help curb the squeak, at least a bit.

I am able to work-up a good sweat without using the cords. My Gazelle has been quiet enough to use even while my husband is in bed trying to sleep, but maybe that's because I haven't ever used the cords.

Mine sat idle for quite some time and when I started using it again, there was a little squeaking. Spraying some WD40 where the arms and legs meet took care of it.

My Gazelle made a lit of squeakey noise but one day this week it suddenly stopped. I thought it was a miracle unitl my babe told me he started useing the gazelle and he put some oil in the joints which much much better because I use to turn up the telivison to keep from hearing the squeaks..but it's much much better now.

Well mine makes noise but most of the time I am listening to music so that kind of blocks out any noise the Gazelle is making.

Mine was also making noise were the cord meets up top. I ended up kinda lifting the cord out of the holder and placing a piece of napkin behind the cord, in the plastic holder. It made a tighter fit for the cord in holder. I also use 3 in 1 oil on all moving parts. But I dont know if all Gazelles have the plastic holder-guide thing. hope you can fix yours.

My Gazelle makes noise but only because of the resistance that is normal been doing that the 7 years I've had it. Try some 4 in 1 oil that works for mine.

My gazelle has always made noise. Sometimes it is a squeeking sound, sometimes like a grinding sound. We have tried WD-40, white grease, taking it apart and so on, but nothing has helped. I have heard others say they had the same problem.

I would definitely contact the company or the place where you bought it because if there is a problem you want it on the record. Then I'd WD40 it. Good luck.

I have only had my Gazelle for 2 weeks and it's already making sounds. The right side where the cord connects at the top sounds like it isn't sitting quite right or maybe it needs to be oiled or something? It's kind of disappointing because it's still so new, but I wouldn't dream of taking it back.

Nope - I used it this morning and it was silent for me. Must have been something she was doing, or because she is just at the weight limit for the machine. She didn't like the noise, either, tho, so when she comes over we're going to just walk outside.

Today mine made groaning noises - my too-big stepdaughter used it, and was doing some weird stride, and it DID make noises.

I noticed tonite that the bar next to the computer display was warm to the touch on the right side. Since that's the side that is squeeking I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Maybe the inside parts are too tight, but I sure don't know how to get to them to stop it!!

I don't know if I would classify it as a squeaking sound. The noise is coming from the shock on the left side. To me it sounds like a young duckling.

Well after using the WD40, white grease, loosening bolts, etc, mine still squeeks.... only now it's not just on the right side, but the left side has started too. I hate to say this, because I'm sorry you all are having the same problem, but I'm glad I'm not alone and it's not just mine. Like I said in a different post, maybe it's us who are squeeking and not our machines LOL.

I used WD40 on all the "joints" and now it doesn't squeak. I did have one of the screws/bolts/connectors come apart and the company was excellent to work with me. They sent me new parts with no questions asked.

ARGH...!!! Mine suddenly started "squeeeeling" on the right side...!!! Ewww, I hate the sound; thank goodness for my iPod!!! But at the same time, I don't want to burst my eardrums...!!!

I'm going to check with the facilities department at the office; I think use an industrial strength spray that works wonders.

Hi Everyone, I just started the program last Wednesday and am really loving it. I posted on one of the other boards and someone was nice enough to tell me about this team, so here I am..... Yes my Gazelle makes noise too. Its a squeak that sounds like it is coming from the right side. My husband sprayed it with WD 40 which worked for a while. His next plan is to use white grease, but he has to take it apart to do that, and I'm not willing to give it up yet !!! I use it when I watch TV, so I'll just turn the volume up LOL.... Jeannie

Mine started squeeking this morning on only my second workout, so I was a little disappointed, BUT hubby says he will use some WD-40 and also loosen the bolts...he may have tightened it too tight he says. It's the front axle on the right side that seems to be squeeking, so hopefully he can fix it as I woke him up this morning squeeking. :(

Mine used to make noise, and I used gun oil (no im not a hick) my husband suggested it cause it doesnt evaporate, I'm sure WD-40 is just fine.
But what I did was take off the black plastic "guards" and oil directly where the leg and cross bar meets, also where the leg bars cross and lastly in the joint where the suspension wire connects to the foot tread.
Hope this helps, Good luck :)

Just found this SparkTeam and I know this is an outdated post, but so glad it's here. My gazelle is making noises and it worried me. No I know I'm not alone. Tried WD-40 tonight with no luck.

I hope it's not breaking on me-I love that thing! If my kids would leave it alone, I'd be on it all day long. emoticon

If you can figure out exactly where the noise is coming from, you can give it a shot of WD40. Works like a charm! Just don't give it a BIG shot -- a little bit goes a long way. I also read that someone has used cooking oil to good effect.

As far as I know, the only part of the Gazelle that already comes lubricated is the front crossbar (where the handles are attached and where the computer is located).

Good luck

-Lindy
