I find that recording everything makes me so much more accountable. Sometimes I'll write down what I ate for lunch in my notebook and then transfer it to the nutrition tracker. Also, posting is really helpful as well. It feels so great to be able to say, "Today I exercised for 40 minutes. It was tough but worthwhile," and then get positive feedback from other people. You just have to think of what your goals are, you have to tell yourself that you aren't going to change if you don't change th eway you eat & if you don't excercise. Trust me I know its hard to always eat the right foods but your not supposed to give your favorite foods up you just need to learn to eat them in moderation. For awhile it was hard for me to get in the habit of working out but now that I'm in the habit I get up every morning to workout & my days go by so much better, I have more energy & feel great. Same with the food I eat I've noticed on the days that I eat healthier I feel much better than on days that I eat unhealthy. You just have to decide how much you want this & if your going to make the changes so you can get there & once you start changing & doing the excercise you will feel so much better that you will want to excercise or eat better Good Luck Amanda
How do you stay motivated? I will go run for 30 minutes and then come back and think oh well since i just worked out i can eat this cookie or i can go get fast food. Or when i sit in the dining hall looking around at people eating i think wow! i really would like a chickfila sandwich now and forget all about how i was going to get a salad for lunch. And i also make up excuses to myself about how i have too much work to do or how i am too tired to work out. Any suggestions?
I gotta work out. I keep saying it all the time. I keep saying I gotta start working out. It's been about two months since I've worked out. And I just don't have the time. Which uh..is odd. Because I have the time to go out to dinner. And uh..and watch tv. And get a bone density test. And uh.. try to figure out what my phone number spells in words. - Ellen DeGeneres
