I'm new as well, and in the same boat as most of you-just looking to lose some weight annnd pass my classes. = )

This is my second time at school, the first time I gained a bunch of weight-mainly because I drank a lot, slept/watched tv/sat on my butt and didn't exercise. I lost most of that weight (except for the pesky last 10 pounds), but then headed back to school and gained a lot more than 10.

My advice for freshmen: exercise and don't binge drink every night. It's worth it, I swear!

The challenge this time around is that I'm trying really hard to excel in my classes. I'm in the library a lot, staying up late-not getting enough sleep, and always short on time-so I'm not eating very healthy. My goal is to get back in shape and learn to live healthier so that I can maintain my weight loss (the weight loss that hasn't happened yet!)

cheers!

Hey! I'm a student from England and i'm finding it really hard to keep track of what i'm eating from the school lunchroom - taking my own food is not an option because my head of year is scary as heck and thinks that all teenage girls are anorexic so any ideas on how i could keep track of how many calories is actualy in "mystery meat" would be much appreciated!

Hello Kodilichi,
and Welcome. I am Deb or Ommiegogo. I am an adult student. You know one of those people who got a little side tracked the first time around and then, years later, decided that a college education was not just for their kids. Two of them still got their degrees before me. I might make it before my other two though.

Welcome to the team. Your right it is hard work and unfortunately I haven't been working on it like I should. I often feel torn, trying to get my school work done, give attention to my family and getting my workouts and paying attention to what I am putting in my mouth.
