I've been doing my studying at the gym. I go late at night when everyone else is gone and take my books/notes/etc, turn off the TV or put on headphones, get on the treadmill or stationary bike and go at it for an hour. I figure as long as I'm there, I could be multitasking. Plus it gives me a change of scenery when I get antsy AND it gets me away from my fridge.

Hi! I too picked the wrong time to start being healthy! But, when I'm getting tired or worn down during studying, I go for a quick walk around the block (about a mile) and in my below zero windchills, it wakes me up fast. Or I also just pop in a pilates or yoga dvd and do the quick workout. At night before I go to bed, I fill about 4 nalgenes with filtered water (my well water tastes nasty) and that way I don't have an excuse for not getting my water in.
Snacking is the tough one. My boyfriend forgot about my efforts, and in being nice, bought me a dr pepper and then bought a thing of cookies. I got kind of mad at him, and then he remembered. He felt so bad, that he went and put the things in his truck (and then they froze lol).
But I'm half way done with final exams and stuff. Then it's the holiday battle!
i've been binging for 2 weeks straight i feel so disgusting and i can't get out of the habit, the food on campus is terrible- everything fried, and all i have in my room is a microwave and a measly little refrigerator. i'm out of options!
All i can say is that i picked the wrong week to start living healthier if i can make it through finals the rest of stage one without giving in the rest of this diet plan should be a piece pie (low cal lol!) Goodluck with your finals everyone. I'm off to take one right now!
I'm having the same problem, I'm so busy with projects and papers for the end of semester that I just eat whatever is convenient whenever it's conveneient. I've been drinking a lot of water instead of soda which has been a good start for me, but its the junk food that kills you, its just easier to get and faster to eat. I feel like I'm getting off track and I'm not sure how to get back on.
Hey guys - I totally have this problem too, but yesterday I read a post about snacks, and I have a great healthy one! The things are called "Gerber Graduates" and yes...theyre in the baby food aisle. But they are SO low in cals, you can eat a whole bag for just 25 cals and they come in really cool flavours, they are sort of like a puffed ball thing...I'm going to go buy some tonight if I can find them, hopefully theyre in Canada! :P
Yes I'm famous for eating like crap during finals. I tend to eat anything and everything when stressed out. And it seems like everyone throws a program where pizza is involved. I plan to go shopping during finals so that I can have plenty of healthy options in my room. I'm come too far to let a few days break me down.

I DRINK LOADS OF WATER, BECAUSE THEN YOUR NOT THIRSTY AND U USUALLY MISTAKE THIRST FOR HUNGER. O AND GIVE MYLEF TIMES WHICH I CAN EAT BETWEEN, FOR INSTANCE ONLY ALLOWED TO EAT BETWEEN 8-9AM, 1-2PM AND LIKE 5-6PM. OR SOMETHING LIKE THT! =]X
Yes! I have this same problem....I am so glad you brought this up. It's harder all the way around, snacking, getting up and fixing lunch...like yesterday I stayed up late with homework the night before and didn't wake up in time to make a lunch...so what did I eat? A personal pan pizza, cappuccino, and a rice krispie treat....yeah, all the junk they offer in the student center....it is harder. Sorry, I don't have any suggestions, but I sure could use some myself. I fell off the track, and today is my first day actually trying to get back on.

Does anyone find it hard to stay focused and on track with their diet during finals?? It seems like I just go down hill! While I am studying, I snack a lot to try to keep myself awake and focused. Any suggestions? HELP!?!
