Well, I left for a week, Thanksgiving and all, so I am back on, and I haven't gained any weight, lost one pound actually, but it is the first time I have weighed myself since I started, so I could have lost more before Thanksgiving and gained some back, but at least I'm not above where I started!!

I started my diet back up on Monday and have lost 7.5lb since then. I miss the processed food (trying to cut them out), b/c as we all know they taste GREAT, but I feel so much better without them.

i went off sparks for a couple of weeks too emoticon now i am going on vacation in 5 weeks and i dont fit in any of my summer clothes! any advice?? (at least i didnt climb the scale too much this time!) thanks...also im new to college spark!

I went off of Spark for a few weeks. Life got too stressful. and I gained back 6lbs. :( But I'm going to try to get back on track.

So I weighed in the same this week as last week which is a bit disappointing. I know that I was super slack though with my workouts so that will just be more motivation for this week I guess. On the plus side some of my measurements were down so that is good!!

Ahh ok. I have a friend that goes to Exclusively Women's in Hamilton and another girl I know goes to Family Fitness (Which is the same company I think). Both of them seem to like it alot so maybe I will check it out when the time comes.

I am going to a gym called Exclusively Women's Fitness. And yeah they call you if you haven't been in for a week or two can't remember what the time frame is. and they also measure you every 10 visits and redo your fitness tests and body weight composition every 3 months.

My next visit is the one where I get measured. Unfotunately It won't be till tomorrow cause I have to work today emoticon

That is great about the jeans!! I love when that happens. I bought a pair of Buffalo Jeans from Winners the other day. They are still reaaaally tight, but I was just so happy I could get a size 29 on myself!!! haha a guess they will be a little bit of motivation for me!

Also congrats on the gym going! I go every morning early so sometimes I get a chance to go twice when someone wants to go later on. I always feel so good afterward. BTW What gym are you going to. I remember you mentioned earlier that they like call you if you don't go in?? That sounds pretty cool. I need to find a place to go when I am at home in the summer.

So today was my 9th visit to the gym since I joined so before working out next visit I get all my measurements redone and reweighed...hopefully it shows to progress that I have made!

oh, I almost forgot to share my fun news with everyone. I went into a store to get some new jeans and I thought what the heck let's try on a 14 cause well that's what I've been for a long time then fluctuated up into 16+. I must tell you that I actually had to go find a 12 to try on the difference..and although the 12 was too tight it was AMAZING to me that I even got to try them on!

and on another note, I double dipped in gym workouts today! I was at my gym and then my friend called and wanted to go work out at our school gym so I went to both. Crazyness!

I weigh in a couple times a week, usally in the afternoon when I workout. I guess I should probably weigh in at the same times consistantly.

I weighed in this morning and I am down 2.5 lbs for the week.
That is pretty good I think since I had non-stop eating and junk food this weekend!!! Haha oh well it is Monday again so back on track!!!

I weigh myself every time that I take a shower in the morning before breakfast. This usually ends up happening a few times a week. (I want it before I've eaten anything when I'm naked... so it works out well this way!)

So far the scale says that I've lost about 6 lbs since when I started (early this week), but I know that's mostly water, and not really fat.

I hadn't considered taking measurements, though, that's a good idea.

Maybe I'll start posting here.

I turtled... Which means, I didn't lose, but I didn't gain... Could have been worse. :) I'll do better this week!

Ok so I stepped on the scale this morning at the gym and I was down 4 pounds from last time (probably 2 weeks ago, and I busted out the measuring tape and I'm down 1 inch pretty much everywhere.

And the most exciting part is that I have lost 10 pounds in total!! I was so excited but I didn't really have anything planned for my 1st 'milestone' so I went to the mall and bought a beautiful pair of puma running shoes!!! Hurray!

Ok so I have only weighed myself twice since I started the program but I think I probably hsould more often... So as of right now I am choosing Mondays to be my weigh-in day!! I go to the gym at 6:30 on weekdays so I figure that would be a good time of day. Do you guys weigh in weekly or more/less often than that?

okay I had gained 2lbs when I did the weigh in but I joined a gym today....where if you don't show up for a period of time they CALL you to come in! How nice is that. And they weigh/measure you every 10 visits..its nice...i hope it all works out. I go in on Friday for my 1st fitness test to see where I am on everything. And will have a fitness test every 2 months...very cool....its nice to not just go to a gym where they could care less if you go cause they are getting your money regardless.

But more excitingly, I weighed myself this morning and was back down to 193...so although that's my weigh in from last week...its means I didn't gain!

TOPS is Taking Off Pounds Sensibly. My grandma (for instance) started in July and has lost some 22 or 23 pounds. It's a non commercialized weight loss group-It costs somewhere around 30 dollars a year. :) I thought it sounded like something I may be interested in next year when I have a car on campus. If I don't start one on campus. :)

I'll be not obese some day. Anyways, my weigh in day is Wednesday, so I'll report back then.
I actually just wanted to say good luck to everyone who's doing well... And I wanted to say that "turtling" (when you don't lose but you don't gain) isn't the worst thing in the world. It still gets clapped for at TOPS meetings. :)

I also did my measurements and they were all the same except my hips were down by .5 of a cm...not much but I'll take it!

Congrats on the weight loss. I just realised that you are a pound away from your halloween goal. That's amazing!! Keep it up.

I'm really just starting out and I hope things will be easier next week cause I will be home alone for the week. And my family is going away for the holidays and I am not so I won't be having to deal with the big turkey dinner (it's thankgiving in Canada)!
I'm in a group where the goal is to lose 15Lbs by Christmas and weight ins are on Tuesday so I'll keep you all updated!

I lost another 2lbs this week!
I was worried because I haven't been using my food or fitness tracker. But, I think I'm just getting used to working out everyday (usually a 3mi walk or a workout video), and I've gotten used to eating healthier with smaller portions. I thought it was going to be harder to lose weight during this busy semester, but its actually easier because I'm always busy, so I pack a healthy lunch. I also feel a lot better... none of my usual headaches and I'm not as stressed out (even though I have way more work than I usually have).

Even though I feel good about my weightloss.... I had to videotape a lesson I taught to my 2nd graders at my internship... and I still look really fat. I felt bad watching it, but at least I've lost 21lbs... I probably would have looked much fatter.

when i weighed myself on thursday i was up 5 pounds, but i assumed it was bloating because i was feeling REALLY crappy.
so i weighed myself on friday and i was at 160.
so i'm weighing myself again on tuesday and hoping that i actually lost something, because i have been on this #%*&$ plateau for a LONG time and it's getting frustrating!

I weighed in at 160 today, which is the same as last week, but last week was a Thursday weigh in, which was only 4 days ago...so next weigh in (Thursday, next week) hopefully I'll be in the 150s...which is what I'm hoping for. Now I'm gonna go measure myself.

EDIT- measured myself. Am down 0.5in. in my waist, 1in. in my chest, and everything else stayed the same. So that's good.

I lost an inch from my waist and an inch from my hips emoticon Also, I now have a scale that I can use with some regualrity. However, it says that I weigh about eight pounds more than I though I weighed. This scale is more acurate emoticon
