I started really looking at ways to burn more calories with workouts. I have my nutrition under control, so this is the next hurdle.I am trying to cut back treadmill, but it is hard to let go because I stick with it! I type why I walk. My kids have 30min reading time each day so I walk then. I will move up;-) I started going away from it last week, but I was not getting my exercise in for the day;-)

My Program:
These are my exercises for 4.26.2014;-) This has been built up over time. I am now in a great routine and love it. I started off by walking 5min on the treadmill and added to it. I have 55 lbs to lose so I need this attack plan. All the workouts are SP.

I make an electronic list then add it to my fitness tracker as I get it done.

20 min workout time WEEK 1 of HIIT (2x)

30 min of walking on treadmill

(1x) 10 min SP NEW YOU Bootcamp - Day 6 Workout
(1x) 10 min SP NEW YOU Bootcamp - Day 7 Workout

(1x) 5-Minute sp best booty with stability ball

Saturday are so easy to sit on the couch all day. But I go up at noon, we went to the mall for a couple things then went to the park to hike. We hiked for 2 1/2 hours! So I don't feel guilty sitting here on the couch this evening!

You sound pretty active - that's wonderful! I wish I had a nice walking/running path close to me which is safer than the roads.

I walk a lot because I have a really nice lake with a paved path within walking distance of my house. I also do a yoga class each week because I feel so much better and am calmer when I go. I do a boot camp class with some friends of mine because I like them. And a zumba vlass or two each week.

I didn't like Zumba the first month I did it because I didn't know any of the steps and I was so lost! I knew I loved to dance though and figured I would stick with it and see if I got better... I did and now I love it! If you don't love dancing I think you might want to stick with what you like. My motto is if I cannot find the fun in the exercise I am not going to do it.

Mary, I tried Zumba but it wasn’t my favourite thing to do. I am not sure if it is because I do not enjoy dancing, or because it wasn’t a good class. It felt like I didn’t exercise at all. Anyway, I might try it again in the future with a different instructor. She wasn’t very pleasant (upbeat) and I don’t think she fit the type of class well. Of course, people around me had fun, so I am pretty sure it’s my personal opinion.
I am more inclined to like cardio, sculpting, toning classes. I do enjoy yoga too and I am going to see when I can plan a class into my weekly schedule.

It was a little nerve wracking but I survived and hopefully the class was not too disappointed that it was me up there and not the usual instructor. She leaves me pretty big shoes to fill... I did end the class a little early but I think that is because I actually started the class on time which doesn't always happen.

Zumba is my favorite thing to do for exercise. When you find the right class it just feels like dancing and not exercise.

Keep it up! Find something you love to do and it will feel like playing out instead of working out.
I have agreed to substitute teach in a yoga class today, that's one way to make sure I show up! It is only my second time subbing (once last summer) but I must not have done too bad a job since she asked me again.

My boyfriend has been showing me around the weight room at my gym, so I spend a lot of time just getting to know what is what. I haven't really used anything except resistance bands before, so it has been wonderfully challenging and fun. Otherwise, we mix things up by hitting up the basketball courts, hitting up the cardio room, or just trying some at home exercise routines.

Enlisting him as my workout buddy has definitely amped up the level of fun-ness for me :D

Believe you can and you are halfway there.

Good things come to those who work for it.

Rainbow - I did go twice this week already. I did some ST and ab class on Tuesday, and on Wednesday I did a 60 minute kickboxing session which left me so sore yesterday emoticon
Good sore, right? Tonight if I can I might go to a Zumba class. I have never tried it, so I am looking forward to shaking my booty a bit. They have a rock climbing wall, and that is my next thing to try.

Tatercat - I have been twice so far, and I am even considering a membership! I have no idea why I was so scared of trying it out. Most people don't even pay attention to anyone but themselves, and the people I happened to talked to were very nice and helpful. You can do it! :D Tonight I'm thinking of going to a public skate or trying out a Hatha yoga class there. Once the initial fear is gone, it starts getting fun!

Believe you can and you are halfway there.

RAINBOWSTAR13 - I know exactly how you feel - I have been fighting the gym for a while, but I think today is the day that I go! I do not workout so much on my own, so I definitely need help!

I walked my butt into a gym and worked out.

This was and is an anxiety I have... working out on front of people.

I have no idea why I would be ashamed of bettering myself.

Incorporated a skipping rope into my workout today.

It was very humbling, but I am optimistic I will learn this skill.

Made it to work without a migraine (first time in a while) and got my fingers crossed it stays that way. Can't wait to get a GOOD walk/jog in today since it's my afternoon off. Checked my weigh-in against my goals, and I'm still on track.

And even better - just joined this team today; it sounds like a lot of fun, especially because I've been trying to change my attitude about exercise. I used to push too hard and get frustrated and now I'm going for fun walks (and on the weekends, hiking) and with the new attitude, I'm not making myself, I'm loving it!

I ate breakfast before work. It seems small, but I usually don't have time to eat breakfast before I go to work. I usually have to wait until about 9 or 9:30 to eat breakfast and by then my body feels weak from all the cleaning I just did. So I am proud of myself. I actually ate breakfast before work everyday so far this week!

emoticon on getting into the yellow mellow dress. I know that was a good feeling.
Today I was able to roll out of bed again and walk 2.2 miles before getting ready for school. It's so hard getting up before the sun :)

I was able to fit in my yellow mellow dress!!! I have not worn this since last summer. Next step...my floral southern peach dress..hopefully next week!!!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful hump day. What are your great staying fit=having fun secrets!.. today i shopped at Trader Joe's before work to buy my healthy foods for the week!

Working out the elliptical all week was a butt kicker but worked my way up to 30 minutes at 5 resistence , cannot believe what a workout that equipment gives a person.. Was great.. On my way...

Up to almost a mile a day, and down 19lbs since Jan 2nd! WooHoo! I realize this loss won't keep up and you always lose a lot in the beginning, but I am enjoying the decrease all the same and won't freak out when it slows down.
