I have grocery shopping on the weekends. Going to Walmart is how I get my walking in. I* take my time and just walk up and down each isle. I have no place else good for walking. Walmart is safe. During the week I go to curves for exercise.

For some reason, I don't work at it as hard as I do during the week. I will need to walk some more, but my main goal is to spend some time at the pool. It's going to be closing soon because of a water leak so I'd better sunbathe while I can.
I take the dogs for a long walk, do extra laundry so I get some exercise by going up and down the steps quite a bit, work with the horses. On Sunday nights when the hubby is winding down I can usually squeeze in a kettlebell workout and/or slip outside for some jumprope.
I try to keep it fun on the weekends too. My DH and I usually go hiking and for walks, plus I'll go for a bike ride or play some tennis. Sunday is my long run day, but otherwise it's fun-first on the weekend.
When the weather cooperates, I do my yard work on weekends. I knew that mowing would be a calorie burner, but was pleasantly surprised to see how many I burn when gardening. Not only is this a good form of exercise, there is such a sense of accomplishment when looking at a newly cut lawn, beautiful flowers beds and when you can finally eat vegetables you've grown yourself.

The only fitness activity I usually plan for on the weekend is a long(er) run on Saturday morning. Then I just take it as it comes and alot of times Sunday is my fitness day off. I am sorta kinda currently tweaking my entire fitness routine though so stay tuned. The main thing is though that I do not out alot of pressure on myself like I do during the week.
I go to the gym, too, during the week. I've started planning just a 30-45 minute workout at home. This way if I don't feel motivated to leave the house, I don't have to, but I still get some exercise done. I also like to wash the car by hand & vaccuum it out & detail it. That is some good activity without feeling like you're doing actual exercise.

What do you do to survive weekends? I usually make a lot of plans (training), but it is sooooo difficult to move from the sofa. I don't have problems with excercising during the week, because I go to the gym before work. But weekends? How do you motivate yourself?
