I STILL REALLY ENJOY WALKING. THIS MORNING TWO MILES IN THE RAIN.

THESE SPARK PEOPLE HAVE GIVEN ME NEW LEASE ON LIFE.
LOVE IT.

DON'T GET OUT MUCH ANYMORE, AND CAN WORK ON MY DIET AND HAVE A GROUP TO HELP.

I mute the sound on the video and just listen to the music I have in my itunes library - not on my ipod, just right on the computer. It helps me to have my own music to walk to.

I know I'm doing something right when I'm sweating at 5 minutes and the weight is coming off!

I always turn the sound down and just concentrate on the moves. I don't always keep track with what Leslie's doing, but I know I'm doing something right when I'm sweating at 5 minutes and the weight is coming off!

Today I grabbed my 11 yr old's MP3 player and used it. Interesting, to say the least!

I have the music on my MP3 mixed that way I adjust my workouts based on the music. I don't have anything that is real slow on it though. I haven't had any problems keeping up by using my own mix of music. In fact sometimes I lose track of the time and before you know it I'm done or ready to move on to the next dvd.

I place the TV on MUTE and turn the Radio on. I just focus on doing the exercise and listening to the music. I don't go with the music. I really enjoyed her workouts but not the music or her talking.

you know, I may just try getting my favorite up tempo songs on my mp3 player and see what happens. The worst thing that will happen is I will give up and just go back to the bad music. There is a song I keep hearing in the car that makes me want to exercise every time I hear it. I think it's called "Going Through Hell" or something like that by Rodney Atkins. It has a good beat and great message (especially for exercise!!):

If you're going through hell
Keep on moving, Don't slow down
If you're scared don't show it
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there!

I don't think that's exactly right but it's the basic idea. It's gonna take 30 minutes of music so I guess I better find some more songs!

I've thought the same thing ... I really like the routines but am not very fond of the music. My son bought me a set of John Phillip Sousa CDs when he was in Washington DC a couple of years ago. I put them on when I'm doing housework and the cadance of the marching music keeps me going. I've often wondered how my Leslie walks would match up to JPS. I may just give it a try sometime.

Has anyone tried doing Leslie's videos with the sound off and listening to other music? I really like her power series but the "Walk, power walk, walk, power walk" chant-y music gets on my nerves. I'd like to listen to music on my mp-3 player but I'm not sure how to do it without wasting a lot of time figuring out the right tempo, unless I just accept that I won't be keeping time with her!
