I do a combination of the two. like the WW Plan manager & message boards better than SP, but still participate here, I love going to WW meetings but can't get there do to lack of transportation (I don't drive).

Hi, I am new to SP. So far, I like it. I am finding that using calories (and other criteria) to track food is a real eye opener for me. I think I will use SP's tracker for a while to see how it goes. I do plan to continue going to my WW meetings for weigh in and the discussion. I find the meetings motivational. emoticon

I started WW online and hate it. It is certainly not user friendly and I have done everything I was suppose to to make it work . So I cancelled. Spark people are definately more easier to use and I too am diabetic. I just hope I get reimbursed.

I go to WW meetings every week. That extra support plus the leader is awesome really helps. The tracking I was not as dedicated to on the ww website but the last two weeks I have been using SP for tracking. That plus using the treadmill and zumba the scale started to go down.
I love how SP challenges me every week to burn a certain amount of calories. I think both WW and SP gives me tools that keep me motivated.

Challenge myself everyday and make time for me :)

I just started on WW. I uploaded the ap on my IPAD. So I can keep track whereever I have bluetooth connection. It is the first generation IPAD so not too fancy. I probably will be on here for spark coach and motivation but I will track my food on WW online.

I am not familiar with kg's. Is there a conversion chart, that they give you, Sandy? We use lbs. at our meetings for the wt. loss.

I use e-tools online and also a 3 month tracker for tracking daily. What I like about it, is if I am not home, I have it in my purse and record what the meal was and then transfer to my computer when I get home. When the 3 months is up, I usually go back to my NOTEBOOK for all the tracking.
I used to try to do spark nutrition tracking and WW, but it takes too long to do both and I still have to figure out from spark, what the pp are. Too time consuming.
Anyway, Keep at it everyone and Keep tracking, it WORKS.

I have thought about not using etools, but I always end up going back. I did buy the extra paper tracker's in case I cancelled. Right now,it's only $34 for 3 months. But if I don't loose the weight, even that is a waste of money.

I totally agree. There were 2 women today at our WW meeting who promised to track all week and they did and lost 1 kg and 1.2 kg respectively.

I kept up with technology with my job at the university - and with children and grandchildren away from me - great to catch up - even got DH to get an iPhone - and he loves it LOL.

Off to WW this morning - I think I am down on weight a bit - by my scales - but the test is the WI there.

I use the paper tracker. Love Sparkpeople site. Use to track on here not anymore. I use all of those other things to get points on here. I use WW to track activity points and recipe builder, etc.

I also go to meetings in NC. Love my leader. I have NEVER missed a meeting since I joined in August 2011. When we go on vacation I attend a meeting there. Love getting different ideas and perspectives.

I think I will have to do the pen and paper tracking! I fully understand with the workplace - I would never log on to any outside sites like SP or Facebook at work - only ever logged in at home. I am retired now, so that is not an issue - but I think the pen and paper is a good idea. OUr WW leader once said ... if you bite it , write it! Good advice! emoticon

yes spark people is very friendly. I work in an office where it is hard for me to track on line - my law firm does not want the employees using "outside" interenet sites so it is easier just to track on the paper tracker you can buy from WW. I like SP better than WW for the message boards

Thanks for your answer. I am trying to do that too. I live in Australia, so some of the foods on the tracker we can't get here. I know that we can put our own recipes in, but tracking with WW is easier for me.

SP is such a friendly site, isn't it.

I use spark people for the message boards as I have made friends here. For tracking I use the WW trackers. I go to meetings -- i live in Minneaolis. I go to a meeting with a leaeder I love

As you know I am now the team leader. I am not sure how to do this, but I am giving it a good try. I am very interested in the concept of WW and SP working together as I love SP and the teams and getting to know people in their weight loss journey, and just getting to know people!

I am not at goal and have a long way to go.

I would really like some info and how people use this site for weight loss. Do you track with WW or SP or do you track twice?

WW meetings - do you attend these or just follow the program, or do it online?

Are there people out there at goal who can give some advice/help to those who are not?
