One thing that might help keeping you from starving by the time meal time comes is having a 2 snacks on in the AM and one in PM. Our bodies were naturally meant to have 5-6 small meals a day vs. the average 2-3 large meals. Think of your body as a fire you have to feed the fire a large amount to stay going throughout the day, but only a little each few hours. This is how our bodies work. Anyways hope this helps. emoticon

So, I have never "done" Weight Watchers before. At least, I have never attended a meeting. I got the Ultimate Point Calculator off the Android Market site and LOVE it. I think the part I love best about the Points Plus system is not having to measure and weigh every fruit and vegetable. I cook a lot of my own soups/meals and it is so much easier to just have to look up half the ingredients. I think it is working so far; I am getting hungry at meal times and able to eat if my stomach is growling... we'll see. The Android Market also had a number of other free apps to determine points. The one I bought was less than $4 and has a great database-- most don't have hemp oil, mung beans, etc.

I am calculated to have 32 points per day so I have been doing 10 per meal, plus 2 before bed. If I try going to bed hungry I might as well plan on not sleeping until 6 am. I also really like the flexible "weekly points" for those times I go to my parents for Sunday dinner or someone has a birthday. It is nice to not have to fret about where I will find the points from my daily tally.

I attended my first meeting with the new 2012 Points Plus and I like it better. I know I love the new calculator. It is so easy to use. I like the idea that most all fruits and veggies are 0 points. I am a salty crunchy snack (bad carb, bad carb) person so I use raw broccoli with lite ranch to take that desire away. I buy asparagus, broccoli, brussel sprouts at Costco in the big bags and I keep a pot of cabbage soup in the refrig at all times. If I don't have something ready to go I will eat the wrongs things if they are in the house. (Oh yeh, my number is 26)

SANDRA~

By my calculations, your target points is 40, so you can go down to 37 if you want to lose faster.

The 2012 plan is more "flexible". In 2011,nobody got less than 29 points. WW wanted to make sure that everybody got enough nutrition. Now the bottom number of points is 26,which should help the members lose a little faster/

Also, you can now choose your number of points on any given day. Like I get 33 points, but I'm allowed to go down 3pts if I prefer (but no lower than 3pts) Does anyone want me to calculate how many points you get? I can do it on my calculator. Just need age, weight, height, and sex.

I don't know how the WW program has changed since I have not attended meetings recently.

I've been attending the past 3 weeks, and plan to attend until I reach my goal...again! I've never seen people so hyped up about LESS points, but I admit that I tried lowering my points target with much skepticism, and the dividends have payed off! 8 pounds in 2 weeks ain't bad for an old lady! I've been tracking ahead and concentrating on the power foods. Gee...next week I might even start working out.
